- In this video we install new batteries and whip lights in our 2007 Club Car Precedent rebuild. I struggle to figure out which wires to select out of the Light Kit harness in order to get tail lights and signlal lights to work properly. But, once we figure it out, take a ride along some trails near our house. #clubcar #precedent #golfcart #rebuild #whiplights #offroad #wiring #golfcartmodified

Hey buddy, great video, I love how thorough and detailed they are. Just a heads up though, I had a similar LED kit on my Yamaha R1 and I had a constant draw for the remote control receiver that would drain my battery if I did not ride it for a few days. I ended up wiring a kill switch under the seat to the lights so that I did not have to keep it on a battery tender all the time.... not sure if you will have the same problem, but definitely something to keep an eye on. Again, great job and keep up the good work
Thanks so much! The Fuse panel is wired to ignition, so should be dead once you shut the key off but I am going to double check that! Headlights and Brake lights are shut down with they key as well.
I installed whip lights on our golf cart. We live in a small town and drive at night around town and wanted to make it easier to be seen by other drivers.
Nice! Definitely can be seen with these things right? :)
I didn’t know these whip lights existed before this video, let alone use them on a golf cart. Great, I’ve got another project! Thx.
Glad we could help!!! Good Luck with the new project!😃
They’ve been used over here in California in Glamis for ages. On atvs and utvs
the lightsabers are cool, super fun. Great job man!
glad you enjoyed Lillian, make sure you like and subscribe for future content!
I’ve wanted to install these. Love how you can hook up to turn signals. Thanks for the informative video
glad you found it useful!
Thinking you may get 12 volts of the reverse buzzer ?
Could try that. I never measured off of that. There is no reducer on the factory harness so will have to look into that for next time!
Thanks for watching.
I wired both my aftermarket backup lights and the reverse wire for my lightsabers from the disconnected (and VERY annoying) backup horn on my 2024 Icon i40L cart, that exact way.
where did you get your red bracket for the spring? What size is that square tubing? Thank you!
Hi. All the links to the products I used are in the video description. Will bring you right to the one I used. Thanks for watching!
Where did you find those longer bolts for the mount? I've looked all over.
Believe i used some bolts out of a stainless assortment kit. Moslikely from Harbor Freight.
I just installed these on my club cart they work great sitting still but once i drive they flickers any ideas?
Sounds like there must be a loose connection somewhere? Movment shakes the connections and it's loosing contact. Only thing i can really think of. Unless its internal to the control board.
I just watched the video. Great info for a kit without much info at all.
I think your problem with them braking/indicating with them off is possibly not on a switched circuit or not being on a switch themselves. I’m installing mine on a EZGO gasser using a 6 gang switch panel because I’m running rock lights, halo pod lights and RGBW’s in the cover.
Thanks for the great video!
thanks for writing and watching! you are probably correct. I could try that. Good Luck with your install. Comment back if it works for you!
I’m putting rock lights along with 2 whips just like these on our ezgo gasser not sure if I will hook them up with the brakes yet. Hey groovdog how do you like your rock pods are you happy with them I’m hoping they will be better than the strips
@@onemuskynut For sure! I’ve had them on two previous trucks and now my cart. And I have 8 on this cart. One in each wheel well, one on each side and one in front and one in back. They’re really great when the music is bumping! 😎
Dis is prije
Hello I know this thread is old but I could use your help
How can we help?
I have g29 cart like yours except my is gas. I iust install the same whips on my cart with a 10 lol light kit for the g29 and I’m having the exact same issue you we’re having in the video. On my cart it’s a brake footpad switch. No matter what I do they when I hook positive red whip to positive on foot switch and turn on light it stays solid red. Any idea where the heck I should hook up to to make them work as they should
@@ak47alldayok if they are going red when you turn the lights on, it sounds like you are hooked into the power wire that turns on the parking lights. Try to find the wire that puts the extra juice for brake lights. I would think that the Brake pad connects a circuit. Maybe you tried the other side already, but if you didn't attempt both sides of that pad wire, i would start with that. You could meter it to see if one is dead with the lights on, then if it comes alive when the pad is depressed. I would think one of those wires would have power at all times, and the other only when the pad is depressed.
I'm sure you know, all about finding the one wire that gets the Volts when the pad is pushed.
I am hopeful this helps, but let me know!
Thank you, it’s what I was thinking just haven’t got to that point yet. Thanks for the reply. I’ll keep yah posted on what I figure out. I can’t be the only one dealing with this issue
@@ak47alldayok it drove me nuts for a little while too! Helped me though when i put trailer lights in my burgundy cart though. This white one got sold to some folks that use it on the lake. Their kids love the whips from what i am told.
Good Luck!
