I saw third eye blind at Madison wi halloween 2009. Craziest show I've ever been to(and middle school dream fulfilled)...my metal friend who was there with me agreed. Still my go to band after all these years
Everybody's world looks the same during the pandemic- stuck inside trying to find some entertainment (music, books, TV show) for an escape. Third Eye Blind's debut was my escape choice a couple of days ago. Was going to call it a guilty pleasure, but it's too good to call it that.
I respect these guys for coming out of San Francisco in the early to mid 90’s. Half the city’s population was hearing nothing but House, trance and techno. They had to have had fortitude to break out of that environment
Fuck that guy. Him and the goof from jimmy fat boy world. This goof doesnt even realize both there best tours were w third eye blind as the headliner. I actually saw both tours. Jew did ok on screamer tour BUT they opened for third eye blind period. Teb doesnt need anyone to tour they will sell and get play on pandora j.e.w. and eve 6 wish they had that kinda love for real
Been a fan since semi charmed life. Saw them on first big tour in vernon NY best show of my youth including woodstock 99 (although the drugs were better at woodstock the memories from that k rockathon were dope) too bad blink stiffed on the show
I have that Gruesomes "Tyrants Of Teen Trash" record. 4:36 They are a "Garage Rock" band from Montreal Canada, active in the 1980's & 1990's. They sound nothing like The Beatles or Ramones. They sound more like The Sonics & The Kingsmen with French Canadian accents. They're one of Nardwuar's favorite bands.
I like them a lot. Reminds me of what Mark Sultan or The Oblivians did later. I think he mentioned the Beatles & Ramones just because more people know them than The Sonics or Kingsmen. An easier reference. :)
That whole 1980s Canadian Garage Rock Og Records scene was awesome. Kudos to this guy for picking up that Gruesomes record, but it sounds like he didnt really get it.
For the last couple of years it seems like most of the guests here have been pretentious hipster bands that no one will remember next year (I get it - that's what popular), but every now and then there's an episode with Fat Mike or Third Eye Blind... I'm not much of a fan of 3EB, but one thing - it's not pretentious or hip in any way. Great picks, too! The Gruesomes are great. And not a single "life-changing" jazz album?!? Cool!!
There have been stories of Jenkins seeking underage girls. Who knows if this is false? Look at Marilyn Manson. It eventually caught up with him. Manson emotionally abused girls he dated
If the particular bands/songs people choose are going to get flagged for copyright they have to just play the samples underneath the interview so the video doesn't get a DMCA strike.
For his age group those are all huge records and inspiring for literally fuck loads of people. Secondly he would dust you and prob kick your goofy ass while playing one handed. Whatever inspiring music he liked worked hes a great drummer.

He's not lying... 'The Chronic' was heard everywhere!! That's when I knew, West Coast hip hop had arrived on the East Coast.

I love how a lot of artist are picking up on Chastity belt. Saw them back in 2016 here in Denver. Was Great
Third Eye Blind self titled debut is a really strong album, for any band. I continually find myself going back to it more over the years
Yeah but do they like the heart in a blender song?

Eve 6 is cool because the guy from Eve 6 is funny with significantly better politics than Stephan Jenkins, a buffoon of biblical proportions.
Description of the Black Pumas record was on point! Love that album!!
I love that Potty Mouth album. It was one of my favorites from 2019.
Yes!!! Plus, I want to re-name my band The Cocaine Go-Gos now.
I think I'll check it out.
The Chronic came out in 92. I remember it well. The LA riots had happened 6 months earlier so their was a lot of songs.
I want to be as peaceful as that dog.
Dr Dre "The Chronic" -- suuuuper dope.
Amoeba please get Maynard James Keenan on, as a matter of urgency.

Shoutouts to Chastity Belt
Wonderful band
Say what you want about the drummers taste, but “Losing A Whole Year” fucking shreds
the whole first album is a banger
Black Pumas and Chastity Belt💛
I can't wait to go back to record shopping
I've seen Stephan perform at Amoeba SF twice and both performances were excellent. Really cool guy.
Great and interesting bag 👍
It's almost semi charming
I first read this as Third Eye Foundation and was very excited!

They are anglos though! Seriously, as goofy as they are, their shows came across like Epic events. Just fantastically fun.

Harlem is underrated!
This band makes awesome music and are great dudes
What more could u ask for
I’ve seen Stephan more than once at Amoeba in SF
I feel a very close bond to Stephen Jenkins because, much like me, he sounds like a gay guy even though hes not.
damn wanted to hear what he was gonna say about Pink Moon but ya skipped it.
Great alt artists and alt band.
Great albums
Love black pumas!
Is it me or is Brad a total Chad?
lmao. I was thinking the same thing.
What’s the song in the back ground before AC/DC please? :)
Chastity belt thats awesome
I’m sure Brad’s got some U2, The Police, and The Clash in there.

Are you sure it’s _everyone else_ that is pretentious?
21 dislikes all from the entire j.e.w. and eve 6 fanbase glad they all came out for this lmfao!
Jenkins got a beej from my friend backstage at a concert when they were at their peak. She was 13.

@@spaghettibrad4297 please explain?
@@erichshoup cap=slang for lying. spaghetti is saying that you made that up.
This seems like a lie

The guy on the couch was amusing
LMAO...
Hat guy has slightly better taste in music than Sox on the doggo's nose guy.
"like, cocaine Go-Gos"
Even the ramones ripped off the ramones homie
The band who sang an upbeat song about crystal meth? OK.
And
hello
"Give away shitty records as gifts. It's Turd Eye Blind's philosophy to the world everytime we release an album."
Is the dog dead ?
That's what my girlfriend said! He jams a record up the dog's butt and... nothing! :)
Like 🔔🔔😁😁😁😁
That dog looks depressed.
Tu tu tu, tu turu turu, tu tu tu, tu turu turu 🎵
Today I learned the lead singer from 3rd Eye Blind has had plastic surgery.
Looks pretty good for 56.
@jorge luiz cavalcante lima you too will get old one day Amigo.
tbh i thought he was mickey rourke
I feel sorry for the dead dog
Playing the music at low volume beneath their talking is a poor decision. Please stop.
Surprise surprise....

Oh yeah. Do you love me? 😍💋 💝💖❤️
I feel as if the production wasn't there for this video. No sample tracks for most of the artists
The music is there through whole thing. Use headphones?

Stephan “hair plugs and botox” Jenkins
oh, no way - Keith Moon was good at drums? Cool story, man.
Gay Little Falsetto
Brad’s taste weak AF

Are you his boyfriend?
Any interview with Jenkins sucks … they’re so bad! I may sit this one out.
