I guess it's nice only for some people as a way to remember, but I'd never dare to turn someone's ashes to jewelry just for my comfort. Considering it's a body, I think the best for any soul is for their remains to be in the ground, in total peace.
I plan on doing this with my own ashes for my children to have a part of me with them always. I have it set up in my will with money put aside. Or else I’d want them in soil and grow a tree with them. I’d be ok with that. Ask your loved one now while you have a chance so they have a say. Everyone is different.

@@EternevaEveryone has had water molecules inside of them from every other person to ever live. Fun science fact
23 years ago my mom asked me to make sure she would become a diamond. When we told my 4 siblings her wishes, they all thought it was the weirdest thing ever. I haven't had the money to respect her wishes yet, but I hope I will soon.
🥺 blessings, I hope you soon do as well
Definitely use a smaller company that charges less if you ever decide to do it. Mom's wishes, so definitely do it, but please don't spend a ton! Companies charging insane amounts are preying upon grief, which i find morally reprehensible. Firstly, compare the cost you are quoted with the cost of similarly sized natural diamonds. (And the quality, of course, do your best and ask for help from a jeweler if need be.) A lab grown diamond shouldn't come close to the price of a natural one, but you'll find they often do in these scenerios because people grieving will fork over cash. They shouldn't even cost as much as a lab grown diamond specifically created and marketed for engagement rings and the like, this is a keepsake item, not a status symbol, (of which engagement stones are priced to reflect. Plenty of items exist in this world that are identical, but are marketed and sold at different price points for various reasons. Diamonds are no different.) and should be priced as such! They might try to convince you that a too high price is justifiable based on the uniqueness of the stone, considering it's being made from your mom's ashes, but that's also just a sales gimmick. Human cremains generally don't contain the amount of carbon necessary to make the diamond in the first place, so carbon ash is generally added to the cremains which are then heated until everything besides the carbon burns off, and a seed diamond is added to grow what will eventually be your diamond. I think it's an absolutely lovely thing to do with one's cremains, but i also think these companies need to be more transparent about what is actually happening in the process!
Get that lovely stone for your mom, but don't let anyone rip you off in the process!
It can be spendy, I think a couple places will let you start paying towards it and they basically hold the money as you pay the full cost over time.
I'm sorry for your loss, losing a mom can be really hard. I hope you guys are alldoing alright ❤
Im sorry but your siblings are scummy and greedy, no respect for her wishes at all...
I pray that you are blessed with a way to make her wishes come true. 🤍🙏
Doesn't matter what you believe in, this is beautiful.
This should be the take away. Granted it'd be nice if people could share their personal beliefs together without arguments and conflict.
I understand humans being the way they are, it would be difficult for one party to express their belief of reincarnation while another party believes the opposite.
It would be nice for opposing beliefs to be expressed without condescension. But that's like asking for wars to not be fought. It's gonna happen regardless of how a few people feel.

Very sentimental and extremely Victorian!
I relate to your rant around 1:12:00 !! I've been exploring the concept of spirits from a scientific angle lately.
Coming from a background where spirits are culturally significant, I'm naturally biased about their existence, but I approach it with a nuanced view.
The human eye is limited to a tiny fraction of the EM spectrum (just 0.004%), which kinda raises questions on what else is beyond our perception. And time is like a whole other weird thing, especially when you think about it in the context of outer space and light-years. Makes you wonder if it's all intertwined in what we interpret as ghosts.
While there are simpler explanations for spooky things (nature, pranksters, mind tricks, etc) I'm open to the idea of otherwordly phenomena, too. The universe and time are mysteries we may never fully crack tbh.
I kinda see it like this: those we've lost might still be around in some form, sort of scattered throughout our lives like dust, and unbound by our concept of time. Their bones return to the earth, but maybe something of them lingers beyond their time here? Maybe "ghosts" are the glimpses or leaks from that vast unknown?
In the end, maybe ghosts are real, but maybe we're just not tuned in enough to see them clearly or understand what they're trying to tell us.
p.s. if I sound a bit nerdy, im just a bit passionate hehe 🤓 also spent a while typing out my thoughts neatly so please be nice to me lols

Turning a loved one into a diamond is actually crazy to me
All I keep picturing with these diamonds is them being placed in a ring or something and the ring being stolen or being lost and then someone brings it to a pawnshop and now your loved one is being pond off for like $75-$100 and then being worn on someone else’s hand. 😮
I think for this reason they should be somehow stamped with universal sign or number ,so shop owners can reject selling and buying things like this😒
@@wiktoriagwozdowska5484 I can't imagine this "Eterneva" wouldn't add such a code, so that Jewelers would know.

This song was PERFECT for this video!
I'm not trying to ruin the moment for anyone but ashes are not what diamonds are made out of. Diamonds are made out of carbon of which very little can be found in human ashes. The cremation process is what's responsible.
1-4% of carbon still exists in the ashes and fragments of bones that remain after the process, yielding an average of 2.5 to 8.5 mg of carbon per body. Instead what is done in this process is that a tiny bit of your ashes are added into the carbon mixture that they use to create a diamond. But the diamond itself is not being created out of the human ashes. I think it's misleading to tell anyone otherwise.
If only they know
Is there a way to extract that carbon so that it would be authentic?

Agreed. When people die, they're dead. This company is just romanticising the process of turning a person's remains into a material item. They're profiting off of people's emotions.

Imagine living your whole life trying to do and be good. Working so damn hard and doing so many things. Making mistakes, friends, memories, and finally raising children. Giving them real privileges that you earned for them. Then they use those privileges after you die to incinerate your corpse and then turn into a fucking shiny rock. That's actually more depressing than just dying in the first place.
Diamonds last millennia, too, most respectful way to make sure it lasts a while
Man that's pretty f****** dope!
This is an example of people wanting their resolve so bad that they will find it where it doesn't exist. People can't fathom the fact that we live and die just like a tree lives and die. People need an afterlife of some sort to keep them rooted in their own reality. It's hard for people to accept that. When I was 7 and learned about death, I cried every night. I'm was so scared wondering what happens when we die. I went into depression. After I started to just focus on living and accepting the fact that life will end and no one knows what's next. My fear of death slowly left, and I started to live. Idk if there is an afterlife I would like to think there is at some level. I have no issues with religion, just people's perception of religion. The human brain wants to make these connections it even detects patterns that don't even exist. Like in roulette when people say oh red has been showing up, black is due. No, black is not due, all oitcomes have an equal chance of showing. That's what the brain does to make sense of things it can't comprehend. It sees patterns in everything even when patterns are not presented just random data. Just continue to learn to explore other religions and see other cultures, and you will be able to make your assessments after not before.
The pain of losing a parent will have us do anyting to see them again it hits hard to see this video
