I was playing "Listen To The Music" and "Long Train Running" when they were on the charts, or soon after. Rolling Stone published a lot of stories on the Doobies, and that only strengthened my feel for the band. It was a big surprise when I heard Michael McDonald joined them, me going back to Pretzel Logic, figuring most of that out one summer when I was only playing at night. "Minute By Minute" is my fave here.
❤️🎼🎤🎹A ‘one-of-a-kind’ voice from Mr. McDonald. I saw them in Honolulu a few weeks ago in their 50 year anniversary tour and their catalog still holds up with the combination of the Tom Doobies and Michael Doobies. Hawaii still loves the band after all these years❤️🌴🐳🤙🏼

Seems like he's a great guy too. I know a guy that owns a moving company in Nashville. He was moving Michael and complimented him on a piano in his house. Michael said, “ it's yours if you want it, and gave him the piano. Can you imagine having one of Michael McDonald pianos!!

I’ve been a Mike McD fan for 40+ years now, and he seems nice, but he never says anything interesting, it’s all cliches. Same here. “More than a dream come true.” “Jeff pulled me into the Doobies camp.” “Fast friends.” No information.
My two most favorite bands since the 70’s I’m 73 now and still listen to their music everyday.
