Putting ourselves in the writers perspective (with their understanding and their capacity at that point), Could this be what was was described as the Nephilim? A breeding with another species with ”different” offspring.
If neanderthals have human DNA, I say yes. Nephilim or some other kind of hybrid. Humans with neanderthal DNA? I don't buy it. They wouldn't be human anymore. Chimera, but not human. Ken Ham has gone off his rocker publishing that neanderthals are humans made in God's image.
Hello, if these things are true with human and neanderthal breeding when is the timing of the Biblical flood? If humans reached all the way to where the Neanderthals were at that time, I'm wondering since Dr Ross has the flood as more local then my question would be when was the timing of the flood in relation to the possible breeding between these two. This question is from a Christian but this is an interesting topic raising a lot of debate, thanks and I like your RTB model, please keep up the great work!
Just a thought...what if Cain (a wanderer and vagabond, with some kind of mark on him) or some of his descendants had relations with neanderthals, produced offspring that later bred with other humans before the flood. The DNA would have already been present in Noah. We do know that civilization was very depraved at the time of Noah.
Two thoughts on the flood survival of the gene. One it came from Noah's sons wife's. I believe Noah was chosen for his pure genes. Second, Noah brought two of every flesh. Much debate what that includes from dinosaurs to other people. But I found the video interesting. I thought science had disproved the GENETIC link, just as we share genes with plants.
Interesting idea. Maybe Noah's genes were pure, but I think he was chosen, because he was righteous (Genesis 6:9). It does make more sense that the genes in question came through Noah's daughters-in-law. The Bible says that the earth was corrupt in God's sight and full of violence. (Gen. 6:11-13). So, if the Neanderthal genes came through Cain's line, they could have been present in one or more of Noah's son's wives.
Fun to speculate on this. If the Africans don’t have this genetic material, it would seem that the interaction must have been post flood, which would put the date of the flood somewhat before the demise of the Neanderthal.
@@SpanishwithNeena All humans have mitochondrial DNA from one of three haplogroups , conveniently coded L,M,N, with the region of intersection being southwest Asia. This is because all humans have mtDNA from one of the three daughters-in-law of Noah. No human has any steenking Neanderthal DNA.
How many chromosomes did Neanderthal's have? Until scientist can show that they had the same number as a human, I remain skeptical. The gestational period for human females is 9 months; Neanderthal females was 10 months. Try to have a live birth under those circumstances, and have the progeny grow, mate and reproduce. It is not going g to happen. However, there is another answer; one Christians and scientists don't mention. It has to do with engineering and coding. When an engineer builds a new car, he uses components from other cars to build his. The nuts and bolts will be the same size for efficiency. Othe components might be the same as well, though new car is a totally different design. The same with coding. You write modules for a program that contain the commands. If you write a completely new program, you can use some of your modules from other programs to build the new program for efficiency. That is exactly what the greatest engineer in the universe did. There is no evolutionary tree, where all life came from. If anything, the geological record shows life started more like a bush sprouting up independently in several areas, sometimes in the same time period and sometimes in staggers time periods. But all life during the Cambrian came forth fully formed with no intermediate fossil record. And all the phyla were there, in a geologic blink of an eye.
The last remnants of Neanderthal are traced back to around 40,000 years ago. So that crosses over pretty well with earliest modern humans dating back to 90,000 - 125,000 years ago. So the inbreeding is possible. The biblical creation narrative is more accurate towards an old earth anyway, as oppose to the traditional young earth. The Hebrew word for day has 3 meanings, one of them being an 'undefined period', so that leaves it open for the 6 creation days to actually just be 6 creation periods of an undefined time. People in the conservative church have just been mostly mistaken on the interpretation for centuries.

If Neanderthals and humans are considered to be different species and really did interbreed and reproduce offspring, is this considered to be a type of macroevolution?
@@pasi123567 many animals who are considered different species can mate. For example a tiger and lion. Even though they are different they are genetically able to produce offspring. It doesn’t mean anything if we mated with Neanderthals.

The Neanderthal researchers looked enthusiastically for chimpanzee DNA in Neanderthals (and Denisovans) that is not in modern humans, in the belief that this is "ancestral". How on "earth" does the Bible have anything to do with this?
If we follow the bible, the Neanderthal died out BEFORE Earth even existed :))
