Gabi, I sent this video to my assistant and asked her to do this curl type on my bride who wanted an updo followed by glowing glamour waves for her wedding. I had the John frieda and Sebastian shaper hair sprays and it all worked like a charm. I was able to style the hair up then take it down and brush it out four hours later, it was perfection!!!! Thank you for this video, it helped me explain what I needed and your tips worked!!!!
I am SO thrilled that this was helpful for you!!!! The John Frieda frizz taming cream really is awesome and such an affordable option for a bridal kit. I’ve been enjoying using it as well. I will be doing more of these bridal hair series (even though it’s not exactly catered to my audience on here) because I just LOVE to teach these techniques so stay tuned for that. Thanks for the support and letting me know how it went. I’m very happy that it worked as well for you as it does for me.
I have very thick and coarse hair that holds curl well, so I won’t be doing extensions, but will I still need to tease it and back comb? And it makes sense to use the frizz cream!
I always wanted to create Hollywood wave. But I'm also worrying there is highest possible curl drop to straight.. Your video explains perfect detail as i wanted.. 🥰🥰
Thank you so much! I’m happy that you found it to be helpful! I love Luxy hair extensions. These are just from AliExpress. I bought some wefts and sewed the clips in myself. They do the job.
Just came across your video and I definitely hit the subscribe button. I love how detailed and visual you are with your videos. Also very to the point and as a hair and make up artist I love it keep making more please ❤️

Hi Gabi! you have so much charm and talent! Question for you I am 57 getting married in 1 month so this hairstyle will be for my wedding. I have great hair wavy not too frizzy just hits my top of my shoulders, face frame. Just letting it dry gives me a finger wave look which I love. For the wedding I would like to see that through the whole head, not so much like a glued to my head but soft .GOOD LUCK finding a stylist that can do a finger wave. I too am a stylist almost retired and wondering if I would be better off getting this look with a waving barrel or hot rollers..a bit nervous to wing It and just let it dry on that day hoping for the best. WOULD LOVE your suggestion pls
What hair extensions do you recommend in using in terms of brand and also, are those extensions the same length as the actual hair or a tad longer/ shorter?
Hey! I really like Luxy hair extensions! These are a bit longer then her natural hair but not by much. You can go same length or a bit longer but don’t go shorter.
I like Luxy Hair extensions. I often work with those. I find most extensions are the same though. As long as It’s human hair and the color matches then it’s all good. I add a full pack (100g minimum) of extensions.
I have very fine long (mid back) straight virgin hair. I'm afraid to use the Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother on my hair for fear that none of my curls will hold. My hair often will not hold any curl without some major TLC and products. Any suggestions?
Hey! It depends on the look I’m going for but if I want it super defined like this then yes. But this look works 1000 times better with extensions then without justification fo warn you.

This is a super super super complicated hair look. It is not for beginners, that's for sure. Even very experienced stylists struggle to execute a Hollywood Wave properly.
Which way do i twist?🥲 im a newbie Also, what if i want my curls on both sides away from the face with a slightly diff hairstyle since i do a middle part? Not very hollywood, i know, but i just really like the way the waves are done here…Any way i can do that?😢 A big like bec this was very informative including the brands of the products used!!
First hair artist to explain it thoroughly. Really appreciated ❤❤
This is the only video that breaks every step down as precisely as possible. Thank u!
I’m so happy that you found this helpful! Hopefully it works out well for you! Hollywood waves are super tricky!
This is so pretty! I really loved the way you've explained it. I've watched like 10 other videos on how to do these waves but yours is the best!

Its true. She is nothing hiding ... pure teaching

And the way you show how to do the front part! Aaaahh Amazing! I

Trying this tomorrow for a wedding!
I hope it works out well for you!!! It takes so patience but the results are gorgeous.
Hi Gabi, do you have certain extensions you recommend, or will any do the trick?
This was done so easily looks beautiful 😍
I have very thick and coarse hair that holds curl well, so I won’t be doing extensions, but will I still need to tease it and back comb? And it makes sense to use the frizz cream!
Thank you for this video. I would like to ask if you apply a heat protector in the beginning. Is it necessary ?
Holy crap she's a stunning bride 😍
The iron to set the wave pattern is a good trick.
I just wish this didn't rely on extensions for the foundation.
Gorgeous shape though. Well done
I always wanted to create Hollywood wave. But I'm also worrying there is highest possible curl drop to straight..

This is SUCH a fantastic video and you are an excellent teacher! Thank you! One question: do you remember what extensions you used?
Thank you so much! I’m happy that you found it to be helpful! I love Luxy hair extensions. These are just from AliExpress. I bought some wefts and sewed the clips in myself. They do the job.
U the best thanks for explaining
Great tut!! What size curling iron and would u recommend a clamp style tool?
I almost always use 1 inch! I like a clamp because it gets the ends perfect. If you want more modern with a straighter end, then you can use a wand.
Do you curl the right side into the face or behind as well? Like let’s say if the part is to the left, like the s part.
You are so talented!!

Love it . I am going to try it
Please do! Let me know how it goes for you!
Amazing tutorial thank you so much
Love!! I want you to do my wedding hair
Aw you are too sweet. I actually no longer offer bridal services. I'm full time with RUclips now!
Any idea what extension I should get for my hair color?
Hey. Any tips how you could do this style the night before the event? Thank you, great tutorial ❤️
You could do the exact same technique but pin each curl with pin clips and then wrap gently with a satin scarf. That would likely work too.
Would it be okay to sleep with the clip extensions on? Loved the tutorial! Thanks!
Triple barrel iron is awesome
What hair extensions do you recommend in using in terms of brand and also, are those extensions the same length as the actual hair or a tad longer/ shorter?
Hey! I really like Luxy hair extensions! These are a bit longer then her natural hair but not by much. You can go same length or a bit longer but don’t go shorter.
That was easy . Thanks for the video. Which curling tong are you using?
It’s a 1 inch babyliss pro curling iron.
@@GlamGirlGabi Thank you
What brand extensions do you recommend? Is it just the two layers of extensions?
I like Luxy Hair extensions. I often work with those. I find most extensions are the same though. As long as It’s human hair and the color matches then it’s all good. I add a full pack (100g minimum) of extensions.

Amazing 👍

I have a bride that is insisting on doing a middle part with this look. Any tips? Cause I’m kinda at a loss. I’ve only done it with a deep side part
Wow nice job
Thank you very much. She is a real beauty isn't she?
Can you show how to create the same look using a flat iron/straightener?
I don’t think that’s actually possible. At least it’s not something that I’ve ever been able to do.
@@GlamGirlGabi alright! Thanks for replying!
how long this takes for a begginner to do?
Great video- excellent teacher!
Thank you! I’m so happy that I was able to help you.
Very nice

What happened with your thread lift? Is it still effective?
I only did it once but I liked it a lot and I’ll definitely do it again when I need to!
do you still back comb without using extensions

I have to do this hair style for a wedding in June and I’m having anxiety already 🤮🤮😂😩😩😩
It’s definitely a tricky one. Practise on a mannequin head a few times and on as many real people as you can. You can do it!
can u please do a slick straight low ponytail tutorial with a ton of hairspray only?
Yup! Do you want it straight or wavy or curly?
@@GlamGirlGabi straight please!
on a model please

Should I blow dry hair first?
@@Justcallmimi It is always a good idea to start with a blowout if you have the time to do it.
Would you use that same twisting motion on a curling wand? Or does that only apply with a 1 inch curling iron?
What is the name of the curling iron?
It’s the babyliss pro ceramic curling iron and the size is 1 inch.
What if the lady wants a middle part .
i have naturally wavy thick hair so funny how i have to straighten it and re curl oh well
You lost me at extensions. Not happening
