Been wearing my Ironman for a number of years with no issues. It's affordable, and durable enough for those who do triathlons which far exceeds what most people are going to put a watch thru. Works for me!
I have one of these and I absolutely love it. So much more legible than some g shocks. Just one point, at 3:46 you say it’s got 100m water resistance, it’s actually 200m so definitely no need to worry in most situations 👍
It is definitely a great watch, and great sports watch alternative for the G Shock. Oh, I thought only 100m, which would have been also sufficient for any activity.
Thanks for the review. I’ve been wearing the Timex IronMan Triathlon since 1993 when I was only 11. I saw Bill Clinton wearing it in the newspaper and told my older brother to buy me one. The watch has changed over the decades and I did wear an Apple Watch for a few years, but today I’m back to the IronMan.
What a great review and I think they changed the strap material from resin to rubber. Much better. The indiglo would have shown up better if you had turned the light out, but hey ho, it’s still good and an extremely practical watch and a wonderful alternative to GShocks. Look forward to the next one my friend. Well done!
I'm a G Shock guy myself, but I think the Ironman is probably a better choice for a sports watch than most G Shocks, which are generally more utilitarian and less sports specific.
The Opie n.3 is my favorite knife, as I use it to open packages and take with me everywhere in my small pants pocket. But I totally understang the N.9 is a much better day to day knife, I have the mushroom knife n.8 from Opinel and I take everytime I got out in the forest. Thanks Larry for your comment, sorry for the late reply.
While some may consider the Ironman a G Shock alternative, nobody would ever consider a G Shock as an Ironman alternative, because a G shock could never measure up.
Don't cut zipties towards yourself, I learned that the hard way haha. Tbh I like this better than my GLX-6900-1DR. That G-Shock is mainly for looks, I dont use the moon phase or the tide, and it gets difficult to read, but the Timex reads perfectly any time and i don't have to squint to be able to read it...and the indiglo is superior to the G-Shock.
Hehe yeah, I injured myself after doing it again, but lesson learned as well :D Thanks for the tip. I agree, definitely the Timex is Function over form.
@@AbdulRWatches it's a very dependable watch imho. Only two faults I could nitpick on were the lack of solar and the lack of straps availability once they break.
@@AbdulRWatches they’re like a surveillance camera on your wrist tracking you wherever you go. Now they send your heart rate and blood sugar levels into the internet to whoever and that data is sold.
it's funny first time I opened I fought it was so Little . i put in a box,. a week ago I took it back and I cannot live it. The BEST digital watch you can ever have. not like these ugly g shock who make you look like an idiot. this watch can be taken for anyopportunities.

The GOAT of digital watches 🎉
Great video
Thanks
Thanks buddy, yes, very underrated as well 👍🏽👍🏽

Great watch, definitely a hard working watch, wear it in great health.

I have the same watch with a Velcro strap. I wear mine surfing all the time. Works great! Cheers, John
It's a very functional watch, wear it in great health John!

That Iron-man is iconic, definitely a watch for the ages.

Thanks Peter, much appreciated. Totally agree, it is definitely a cooler alternative to the G Shock. Yeah, I tried it afterwards, it is bright 😁👍🏽

I have one of these. It has five alarms which can be set for weekdays or weekend it also has dual time very nice watch
Great watch, very functional and wears great on the wrist as well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Very nice watch I like Timex
Thanks Kenneth, it is a great durable watch.
Well done Bro. Thanks for your New Content 😝🤩😃
Thanks bro for the continuous support 😁😁🙏🙏👍👍

Totally agree as well, thanks for watching and commenting.
COOL watch hope have that soon😂
Thanks Leonardo, you will like it :)
A lot of the military uses those for p.T
Totally understandable, great and robust watch.
🙏great video thank you
Thank you for watching and commenting :)
I love that you used an opinel to cut loose this classic watch. What size?
Thank you very much, I think it is a N.3 Opinal pretty small but very handy.
Was going to comment on the Opie. No use for the no3, but I carry the No9 as my daily steak knife. Just like the classic Ironman a legendary design.

There is only one alarm. But does it have a 5min snooze?
Good question, I didn't check that out when I had thr watch.
5 alarms
It does have 5 alarms.
While some may consider the Ironman a G Shock alternative, nobody would ever consider a G Shock as an Ironman alternative, because a G shock could never measure up.
That is a true statement 👌 👏🏼
What is the battery life?
I think between 3-5 years depending on the use of the complications.
Is it perfect for the small wrist?
It wears much smaller than the G Shock and other such watches.
@@AbdulRWatches Is it smaller than Dw-5600?
Yes, definitely smaller than the DW5600
Cool😀😀😀😀
Thanks 😁😁👍🏽👍🏽
Только что посмотрел обзор таких часов, совсем неоптимистичный. Отвалились два верхних болтика с лицевой стороны, и отошло стекло😯
Yeah, I felt also that the quality of the watch is not so good, I think that it would take some beating but not like a G Shock
200 meters of water resistance
Yes, you are right 👍🏽 Thanks for watching and commenting.
too bad it doesnt have the "old" indiglo..
I also miss the old indiglo 😁

@@WildWildWeasel Good points, definitely it could use a better strap. I would even live without the solar, but I get your point.
Esse aí é melhor que o sghock
For an athletic lifestyle, it is definitely useful as well. I liked it a lot.
The Ironman isn't an alternative to the G shock - it's the other way around
Yeah, a lot of people like the Ironman, I think for running activities it is a perfect watch.
I ordered one yesterday. I want to avoid smartwatches
That is the right way to go, smart watches are not for me as well.
@@AbdulRWatches they’re like a surveillance camera on your wrist tracking you wherever you go. Now they send your heart rate and blood sugar levels into the internet to whoever and that data is sold.
Exactly, too much over sight and turns to be control at the end.
The end goal is a chip under the skin

I wish the colorway was black & orange like the og one.
Agree Igor, the black orange colorway would have been great.
