Rumor has it, Timex contacted Josh McDaniels and demanded he stop wearing their watches.

This is cool. But could definitely go way deeper for the real watch nerds. But very cool.

    Does nobody have a phone? It’s 2023 I don’t understand this logic
Good video though, especially when it got the the Jocko part. And interesting to think about
Maybe having the watch there and being more aware of time gets you to be more purposeful with your time rather than waste it? Idk

As a watch wearer I can say that I want to be able to check the time without reaching into my pocket, pulling out my phone, getting distracted by notifications, and then putting my phone back into my pocket, especially when I'm with other people. I happen to carry my phone with me pretty much everywhere because I work a desk job. But I can easily imagine that many of these guys do not carry their phones out to the practice field. Or other men and women who work jobs where it isn't allowed or practical to carry or get their phone out all the time.

Hold on, let me just look like an absolute chud and slog out my phone anytime I need to see the time. Also, as an aside, NFL coaches aren't allowed to have phones or smart watches on the sidelines.

Nice timex commercial. Implying they are watch guys is a misnomer here…using a basic watch simply to tell time doesn’t make you a watch guy. These coaches should at least use Casio g shocks.

Josh didn’t want to wear an expensive watch because he would default on his mortgage when he got his ass cut
