[2023] Top 150 Fastest Rappers in the World | Most Accurate

- This 150 project was reignited on July 2022, where we had a sudden urge to get back to calculations and research. Needless to say, I was shocked about how far we got and how deep our research went. Calculations were reflected on and measured to the absolute millisecond, rappers with mere hundreds of views were discovered just by the pure dedication to our research, and we've ended up with a database of 450 rappers with calculations that are all 12+ SPS.
I want everyone to keep in mind something, however. SPS is an infinite community, and there are absolutely unlimited amounts of rappers out there that have went incredibly fast but have yet to be discovered. We poured as much time as we could into this video, and we believe we have found a suitable amount of artists for the release of this video.
You must also keep in mind that SPS is a game where the slightest milliseconds make significant impact, thusly the results presented in this video could be moderately changed to create a minor increase. At the end of the day, these calculations are relative and to be taken with a grain of salt. But still, we're very satisfied with how this turned out. And regardless of whether the speeds could be narrowly increased, we're still happy to have a collection of skilled artists from all across the world on this list.
That being said, these results are accurate in the sense that I don't believe it possible for a speed to be slower than what is presented. For the first time, I went through the effort to create a document with Google Drive wav burst links, accompanied by the syllables spoken in the burst (whether official lyrics or just gibberish to gauge the syllable count). This project took hundreds and hundreds of hours in total, and we rechecked every single artist on three separate occasions just to be safe. I would be disappointed if there was an error with our calculations that equate to it being less than what is presented, but I personally think the likelihood is low.
I will have three documents linked below. These documents should give heavy insight behind the calculations, the placements, the exclusions, the differences, as well as providing all of the due credit to the original artists.

RULES:
-For someone to be on the list, they first and foremost have to be a “proper” rapper. While there aren’t set criteria and boundaries for one to be considered as such, the basic requirements are of reasonable levels of acknowledgement by others, effort and experience, as well as quality.
-For this list, we decided to make no exceptions for any acapellas or verses that cannot be classified as original compositions. To provide examples, we had previously permitted artists such as: Outsider, Rebel XD, and El Chojin to appear on the list despite their verses being record attempts. El Chojin's attempt may have been on a beat, but the overall quality is not great and we cannot classify it as a song.
-Evidence of artificially edited performances in order to appear legitimately faster, through speeding up or by presenting punched in bars as unique takes, is not allowed and directly disqualifies the rapper if it’s noticed or heavily suspected on what would be their fastest song, despite any legitimate entry they might have besides that. Ultimately, if an artist's fastest song is sped up, we will not permit them to reappear on the list regardless if they have other songs that are legitimate.

NOTE #1 | The stopwatch in the video is not an exact accurate representation of the length of the burst, it is just there for presentation purposes to help people understand where the highlight burst begins.
NOTE #2 | You might notice sometimes there is a "Tb" on the screen. This represents tiebreaker, it's a new feature I decided to experiment with.
It means that more than one artist has said the exact same amount of syllables in the exact same amount of time. Whenever this occurs, the rappers are ordered on a decision by us on who holds the speed the longest (or who just generally raps faster throughout the audio). Remember, these are technically ties, but for presentation purposes - we've decided to do things like this.

The main three people behind this project were Me, TrollatorBR, and Dvagoh.
Trollator worked unbelievably dedicatedly throughout this whole thing, and went to insane degrees of research just for the slightest in accuracy. The amount of times me and him slowly and tediously rechecked all 200+ bursts, making small trims and extensions when needed, is stupendously bonkers if I must say.

Thank you guys for making this happen, this list is tremendous in keeping the SPS community alive and finding new talent. While I was always hesitant to aim for a higher sps burst just to get a better placement (I still firmly believe that longer bursts are a better indicator of speed mastery), it ultimately motivated me and especially Ruffian Rugged to go For the Record. I feel like this #10 is a lot more accurate and well-earned than in the previous video, which shows both the improvement in your measurement accuracy and the increasing interest for competition. Props to you guys, and congratulations to everyone on this list! Let's keep improving!

I believe it's my 40th time watching this video but I'm not entirely sure, I haven't been counting. But all that I can say is thanks to the whole team and NahDah for this video.
I discovered underground fast rap while I was listening to Eminem's "Godzilla" and decided to search for his fastest songs and found the list. Before that I haven't listened to any rap songs at all. I was watching the list and then I was expecting Eminem to be on first spots, but imagine how baffled I was when I saw Eminem on about #100 (if I recall correctly). I basically watched the rest of the list wondering how were those speeds even humanly possible. Those lists basically shaped my music taste and now half of all songs I listen are rap.
When this list was released I was even more impressed because firstly, #150 was already 13.7 SPS and secondly, it was the fact that 21 SPS was actually possible to do. After that I joined the discord server and posted message to praise the team for their work.
Soon enough I started helping NahDah with finding new rappers and calculating verses, and I really enjoy doing that even there are a lot of rappers to do.
I just want to say thank you to the whole team for making this terrific list possible!

Great video. Found it interesting reading who was excluded and why. Thinking about it Mizury's verse in UC6, Leach's immense speed, and a lot of Don Xperto's stuff is clearly sped up. Somehow never thought it though.
I think pretty much every Xperto fast rap is sped up. Only one that I've found that isn't is Uno
this video is very different from the last ranking, but it's thoroughly impressive. the effort you put into this whole thing is insane, and also the verses themselves are pretty cool. well done man!

I've began to unlock the fastest possible word combinations in a 4 syllable scheme, watch out 😁.
I'm about to start trying to record Magic Rap 2 soon 🔥. It's a 4 syllable scheme with 2 × 119 syllable bursts. (Magic rap was a 3 syllable scheme, 164 syllable burst). On a good day I can hit 23 sps flawlessly with the second burst, 22 sps with the first.

Great list. If you are willing, please make one where the syllable count lasts up to 5s, or preferably 10s. Many people can sprint, but not everyone can run a marathon.

It's a good concept, making a 5-10 second list - but it'd be far far in the future. We've been calculating using this method for going on 7 years and have an expansive database via the method, so suddenly switching to 5-10 seconds will be like starting from zero. The method we use is already time-consuming enough, so imagine us having to count the number of syllables within 10 second timeframes (whilst, more likely than not, not having any official lyrics). I can't even begin to imagine how hard it would be to solidify and ensure accurate syllable counts for 10 second segments in brutally hard languages to count syllables for - such as Arabic (especially dialects such as Darija).
So yeah it'd be rough for sure, and there's some big practicality issues for a worldwide 150 list using a 10-second method, but that doesn't mean it isn't something we're already working on as a side project (but there's like 10 side projects so that doesn't mean much 💀)
This is a lot of text but I'm gonna copy paste a piece that we wrote talking about both methods, in case you're curious:
You'll notice that this video's method of calculation likely differs from more popular videos covering fast verses. Some people prefer calculations where verses are timed up to 10 seconds. Such a method is more suited to figuring out the AVERAGE speed of a verse, whereas our aim is to figure out the PEAK speed of a verse.
A reference frame of one second or, more often than not, slightly longer than that, is still faithful to the “syllables per second” denomination while showcasing the absolute fastest speed reached by a rapper. It is, in our opinion, more compelling from a ranking standpoint, as well as a presentation one, as it results in a higher variance of results between rappers.
Longer timeframes, usually 10 seconds, end up watering down the results by a relevant amount, as it’s unlikely that a fast burst goes on for longer than 3 or 4 seconds at the speeds showcased in the video (13-14 SPS and higher), meaning that those 3 seconds are surrounded by 7 seconds that may include slower rapping (bringing the average speed down), no rapping (tanking the average speed), or vocals from different takes (making it impossible to count the entire section as steady rapping): in other words, there are too many things that can go wrong in 10 seconds.
Two rappers could have the same results of 130 syllables in 10 seconds, with the difference being that one raps a steady 13 SPS all the way through, the other one hits peaks of 16 SPS and slows down to regular speeds in other sections. Our intention is to acknowledge such accomplishments, as the main focus of these lists is sheer speed, instead of something such as stamina, which is still impressive in its own regard.

Practice is the main thing but if you want to hit 15+ within a week of practicing I recommend using what I call the "pickin and packin em" technique where you say multiple-syllable phrases or words that can be said with one mouth movement. I've hit over 21 SPS using it (mainly with MC Bustaflow's Magic Rap lyrics) but can't rap anything over 16 normally, at least while still maintaining reasonable clarity). Sometimes I have trouble even hitting 13
Cru's saying he hit 22 sps, so I tried doing a calc myself for that part of the verse and well... I confirmed by myself he did not.
Results are a bit different from the list for some reason, maybe I got something wrong or it's the other way, but the max speed is almost exactly the same, so I don't think it really matters.
Taking 23 syllables:
23syl // 1,0875s ± 0,0005s = 21,15sps ± 0,01sps
Taking 22 syllables:
22syl // 1,0565s ± 0,0005s = 20,82sps ± 0,01sps
Taking 21 syllables:
21syl // ≤1,000s = 21sps
I'd really like for him to eventually hit 22sps, but here he absolutely did not...

Just wrote some new superfast stuff lately and it's pretty ridiculous. I'm hitting 22 sps effortlessly on 2 different 119 syllable bursts right now- 23sps on my newest one. I'm probably the fastest rapper in the World by a large margin, by at least 2 sps in my opinion 🤷.
I was thinking about doing a Live RUclips performance soon. I think it should be required for anyone claiming to be the fastest rapper in the World now- to do a live performance. There's too many ways to cheat, and I believe there are currently good cheaters who are getting away.

Are you ever going to do top 10 female rappers? I don’t see any on here so I’m just curious who would be in the top 10 other than Tymee lil death K flay and Iren.
Honestly, I think it would be quite an underwhelming list if I did it now. I haven't been able to find an excessive amount that reach high speeds as of yet, but I can definitely consider if I ever did!

Theres a lot of artists here I don't care for (though I think Tonedeff is the most underappreciated artist in hip hop, period and is my favourite emcee of all time), but you have you have to respect the skill on show and the resesrch that goes into this video.
