Turkish is probably my favorite language to listen to rap in outside of English. Something about the consonant/vowel balance just hits the ear right, very sonically pleasing.

I love this style of video, and it's so satisfying to see the nuance in a lot of speed bursts by highlighting the real "burst" in red. By "nuance", I mean the fact that a particular burst--triple time, double time, etc.--can sound like it's the same speed throughout. However, highlighting the lyrics in green as they go while highlighting the measured burst in red can really show you how a certain group of syllables and variation in a rapper's flow affects the true speed of the burst. It also helps that this specific form of lyric highlighting debuted on your channel with a Turkish list, because fast Turkish rappers tend to have a good focus on clarity and pronunciation that makes their fast flows so satisfying to listen to, and having their lyrics highlighted as they rap in this language is just SUPER satisfying. Well done to you and the rest of the team for the video, and huge thanks for the Turkish friends who helped transcribe these lyrics so that we could have a video that showcases the art of rapping fast in such a beautiful language.

He deleted around 180 of his songs and is always deleting his other stuff from his past no matter if they have anything to do with copyrights or not. He might have obsession idk why he is doing that.

it was likely me (also helped with a lot of the lyrics and calcs for this one, though nahdah did the entire video editing work) the last clip used to be calced as 19sps but one of the syllables was unclear so we didn't include it

also i have a question about calculating sps when you count vowels as syllables, do you cut the burst at the point where you can exactly hear the whole vowel, or can you cut it the second you can reasonably tell a vowel's been said? aaking because ive been trying to calculate some songs and im trying to not go completely wrong lol
We typically start the burst somewhere in the middle of the vowel or just about under. That way the syllable is still audible, whereas cutting at the very end of a vowel is less so. I would say this is the best method, since starting from the absolute beginning of the vowel could lead to issues depending on how long they purposefully hold the vowel - thus decreasing the speed to a large degree.
Currently we have a database of 2000+ calculated rappers. However, we only add an artist if their speed is above 10.4 SPS (and there are 19 rappers alone with the exact speed of 10.40). I hope to one day finish the database enough to where I can share it all publicly, and perhaps make a website for it.
