I loved the red Christmas record!! The courting candle styled next to the courting picture would make a fantastic vignette😀. It looks like you and Cindy had a lot of fun thrifting together in Nebraska. I hope your mother is doing well and that she had a fun visit with you two.
Linda we had a great time in Nebraska. Always good to be home but good to see family. U like you idea on the courting candle and framed print. Will have to do that.
I love shopping my local bins store. Thank goodness they still hold to the rule of one person per bin!!! Your bins price is great. My bins change $1.00 each book. Take care, love your channel.
Hi. Something I ve done with books that have a weird smell is put them in a closed tote with a open box of baking soda for a week. Worked great for me.
The Omaha bins….are such chaos but I still go a couple times a week. Same people are there all the time, and months ago I watched one gentleman going by and skewering the framed art with a screwdriver, why oh why? I’m guessing he found the antique painting before you. 😢 Great finds!
To remove smoke smell from a book wrap the book in a hand towel, put in a ziplock bag pour in a box of baking soda an let sit for 3 or 4 days, works for me
The gold framed picture was fabulous. I'd like to see how you go about repairing that. A great collection of finds again too.
Thanks so much. I will try and do a video on the repairs I make to the picture. That will probably be a winter project. 😁

Thanks Nancy. It’s so interesting how all the locations have different pricing strategies. Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you Clay. Great items!!
Thanks Janet.
Makes me want to go to the Omaha bins!
We have found good stuff there!

@Winterkeith5328 great idea. I will try that. Thanks.
@clayscollections5250 damp rid helps as well for moisture related odors, but nothing absorbs odor like baking soda. I use both in an enclosed tote.
👍
Thanks Gracie.

Yes, I think most of the holes were done at the bins, they are very recent holes. But it's probably why most people passed on it and left it for me!

For the smoky book, I wonder if packing it in newspapers might take the smell away?
I was in Russia in 2019. The authentic black laquered boxes were very expensive. You should do some research .
Thanks for the suggestion. That was part of the reason I bought the book to help in determining what ones we picked up and their values!
