The World Trade Organisation has condemned the US tariffs on Chinese EVs because it clearly breaks WTO rules. Also the US subsidies green technology including EV cars under the Inflation reduction act. So the US is doing exactly the same thing.

Re Chinese tariffs - BMW, Volvo/Polestar, Lotus, and other brands that grew up out of China all produce cars in China. If these tariffs are going to hit ALL Chinese cars then it will be interesting to see if there's a 'No, not those' clause...
BTW, nice choice of Comma AI after the BlueCruise sub ends - if it's good enough for Aptera... 👍

Rimac can't offer another electric car unless it can make it substantially better. No one would spend another few million dollars on a vehicle that would only be 60-80 kg lighter than the current one. The current one already has more power than the tires can handle at higher speeds. So the vehicle needs to be significantly lighter, at least by ~16.5% (to get closer to the 1:1 power to weight ratio) to have better driving dynamics, but battery technology is evolving slower than predicted 5 years ago.
