Made a power pod for the SpaceX Parafoil glider and took it to the beach!
Was a lot of fun but had lots of problems... hmm, room for improvement!

Fun times, thanks for sharing. ✌🏻
I so some RC skydiver and water rocket stuff and I've had some good chutes stuck way up in trees. I carry a DIY grappling hook made from a 8" x 1" wood dowel with hooks attached fashioned from coat hanger wire (with vinyl tape on the wire tips to avoid fabric rips. That wire is strong enough to grab, but bends enough to be freed from being stuck on branches. You just have to play around with the weight to where it will carry some distance while carrying the line with it. I recently got a chut down from near the top of an 80' tree.
That's sooo cute! I could picture myself down on the beach with locals watching, sometimes I use my normal wings, sometimes my speed wing when it's really windy, then sometimes I kite this one when I'm just lazy haha!
Excellent work mate
It's very cute!
so cool!
Now it needs an FPV camera 😉😉
Ahah totally does
Nice, and also liked the rc full size paraglider video. Can you do a video and review of the Ozone Mojo Pwr 2, A wing
Andre, try to balance your gondola in a way that it is slightly nose down (-5 degrees). This will make it easier to steer. After that add some right trim on the TX and you're golden.
when you made this wing originally i was hoping youd make it remote control
you need two motors to or try this twisted propeller mount like they use on one engine planes to compensate for rotation
Not a bad idea, just cocking the motor a little bit to the side
Can you make a step by step tutorial like stitching templates etc
I made something similar, but with a wooden box and metal bars to attach the paraglider. I did not notice any torqe. If you are interestet, i can send you some pictures.
is there any counter-rotating prop engine option available out there?
Instead of such a big motor how about you go for a coax system from one of those rc helis to counter the torque issue? 😀
Not a bad idea :)
I think your torque problem is due to the size of the motor. I fly a Hacker rc cloud 0.5 and the motor is a small quadcopter size one with a 5 inch prop. No torque problems. I cannot explain why model paramotors are soooo expensive though! Maybe the wing is the expense.
Yeah I think a smaller motor might help for sure. Also the horizontal distance between the motor and the risers
@@AndreBandarra1 I think you are spot on! Shorten up the pod, drop the motor down to an 1806 pushing a 3 or 4in prop and maybe some cross bracing to the risers to reduce torque steer if you still need it. I like playing with my cheap little $60 rc paramotor but I am looking to make a bigger one that handles more like the real thing.
Great 🙌 where can we buy that wing?
I made it myself!
