    Well done! The amount of work is proportional to the amount of ribs to sew (not much to the size of the project), and 19 cells is almost miniwing territory. You've even spliced the lines, you're a patient man! Did that exercise raise enough confidence to sew yourself a paraglider? :D

    Nice video!! Fun to watch!! One question - and I know it's a model and not so important - but I was wondering about how you're attaching and linking the lines and cascades with a lark's foot where only one of the loops is passed through the other instead of both through each other. I ask because this is something which was called out in the accident report/analysis by Ozone for Kiwi's incident and I wonder if it's good to be consistent even in models. Anyway, awesome video!! And making/splicing lines is somehow so much fun!!

  • @stevenboyko5925
    @stevenboyko5925 2 года назад

    Cool! I'm currently building up a LuteFisk RC paramotor. This is the original design used for the Hobby King RC model featured in one of Andre's earlier videos. The HK wing has fairly inconsistent line lengths making it difficult to launch and prone to collapsing in anything higher than a slight breeze. It does behave better if flown heavier, and single skin designs benefit from a bit more brake to keep the leading edge inflated. The single skin wing designer is available.
    ICAREX PC31 for fabric, and Dyneema Spyderwire for lines. Neither are optimal, and an updated design for the LuteFisk is using a slightly softer material.
    Andre, I like the line you're using. Can you share what is?

    Great work and inspiration for future inventors and curious pilots. Your channel is full of good and valuable information, I really appreciate your videos, your work and the way you share it. I am paragliding since 21 years ago. Just one important small detail about the way it looks like you attach the line loops to the attachment points to the wing on minute 8:20: that is not the way to do it. It can cause the lines to brake and it was the mistake that cause that pilot named Kiwi to have a massive failure cascade on his wing, and Ozone making a report after investigation. I am just pointing out in case someone is thinking on changing his line set and thinking that this video is showing the way to do so. Here the full report:
    xcmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Accident-Investigation-Nevada-2020-2.pdf
