I've ridden this ride at both WDW and Paris. I much preferred the Paris version because it has a more intense track layout with a few inversions. It's also the only version of Space Mountain that starts with a "launch" ... which when you think about it makes the most sense as a way to start a ride all about launching into space!
Hehehe our French Space Mountain Mission is indeed more faster, intense and brutal. You'll have a blast. Love the launch part and we're actually the only one to have it If you're a Rollercoaster fan. This is a must do
In Shanghai, it is called - De Tron de la Leight Cyclay. I think Paris wins the BEST overall version still to this day. Seeing the details of it is just stunning. I love the steampunk - Bioshock look! Oh, and you should also mention capacity of each version. I think Haunted Mansion and Pirates can do max of 40,000 riders per day. Those rides chew through park guests. Somewhere Disney lost its way on capacity with most rides. Shanghai pirates looks like it is a monster of capacity! Now that I have finished the video.... Paris version of Space Mountain may be the BEST of all Disney rides!
@@lawrencepatricksingson8831 Our French Space Mountain from Disneyland Paris is the best of all. They changed the theme from Space Mountain to Star Wars in 2017. Really fast, intense and brutal. You may hit your head a little bit but overall you'll have a hell of a blast
I went on space mountain Paris I had fast pass, so I went to that line. There was someone laying down on the floor so they told us to backup. They gave us our ride pass back because you can only do it once but, they made and announcement saying that they had technical difficulties witch really meant someone was dead.
when ordinary adventures did a vlog in hong kong disneyland, they said that the park's space mountain has been permanetly changed into hyperspace mountain (you can even see an x-wing somewhere near the ride)
@@ParallelDiscover The layout isn't the same but the type of track is, as evident by how rough both the Matterhorn and Disneyworld's Space Mountain have become.
I love Disney World because it has the most immersive queue and a post ride scene, and the ride is darker and rough. But overall it desperately needs to be updated
Disney Workd Space Mnt. is my favorite I saw it being built in 1973 ,74 they still had it ready but not open to the public till 1975 December,I got attached to this ride for this reason so old things stick with you for life😮😅
There was at the time when space mnt. Opened at WDW at the end of the as you were exiting you would have course went up on a movable walkway , and when as you looked up there would be RCA TV ' s to try to advertise the need to buy them RCA was the sponsor of the ride at that time😅
In the future of making this comment is that Hong Kong was did used to ride name as space mountain, but has since changed the name to Hyperspace Mountain with new design for the interior for a new Star Wars themed attraction instead
This is actually not the case. The matterhorn has multiple points where the ride tracks "interact." In space mountain, they really only interact by the lift hill. Watch a lights on pov. There is no point one track dives under the other, or where the two tracks bank together
Paris‘s Space Mountain is honestly kinda sad because it used to be so much better with the Jules Verne theming. I have hope that they return the theming next year
You should do another one of these but comparing the refurbished versions of space mountain, 77 vs 05, 83 vs whenever tokyos was refurbed lmao. And Paris really are the most major changes. Disney world also had a lot of cosmetic changes but they happened way before digital video was a big thing
could you do a video of the differences between buzz lightyear's astro blasters at disneyland, tokyo disneyland, disneyland paris and hong kong disneyland (well you could leave that one out because it was replaced with ant man & the wasp: nano battle)?
I do want to. I need to do a small world follow up. My schedule is super stupid right now, so it will be a bit. It will now be second on my list for a parallel video
Nothing beats the music and emotion and presence of the original. You really have to appreciate the original the most to admire how all the other versions came to be
Disneyland's original tunnel between the small lift and the large chain lift - was streaks of tiny lights with wushing sounds - then later, they copied the blue lights from WDW's tunnel. - The Spacecraft seen on the chain lift at WDW was variant copy of the spaceship Discovery from 2001 A Space Odyssey movie -- and then Disneyland replicated that same craft for the queue. Then later, they modified it.
@@ParallelDiscover I think I've seen concept art for a SM that was protruding out of a rocky facade or perhaps blast crater. In fact I envision a SM that maintains it's conical and ribbed outer shell as the dried lava of an impact blast.
@@lawrencepatricksingson8831 i like the idea of the conical shape formed from lava. don't know how you would get the ribs though from the lava. unless they were subtle. maybe looking wavey and more natural.
I don't really count Paris' version of Space Mountain, since it is a completely different kind of coaster. I actually think it partially inspired Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. I always felt that Tokyo had the worst version of Space Mountain, so I am glad that it has been announced they will be getting a completely new version.
@@ParallelDiscover I respect your decision--after all, it is still called "Space Mountain." However, I feel that many people may not be aware of just how different it is.

R.I.P. the space mountain at tokyo disneyland 1983-2024 (don't know if that one has already closed or is about to)

Star port 75 is referring to the opening date of the ride at magic kingdom (1975) the same is done with space station 77 at Disneyland (opened 1977)

That's too bad. Hyper space is great, but it's good to have the classic now and then
apparently, the track for space mountain in disneyworld is the same track as the matterhorn in disneyland, which is also why the cars are a 1 seater
This is actually untrue. The two tracks in space mountain do not entangle as much as they do in the matterhorn. They are mostly mirrored opposites.

The Tokyo queue looks a lot like Disneyland's was before it was updated to have more claustrophobic corridors.
