      great for redbacks and vlads as well. Not everyone knows that good 80# and 90# prods can handle 300 even 400+ grain bolts just fine especially close in.

      @@MyMyself-yr5ks heavy bolts doesn't cause the damage, its light weight bolts, use to light a bolt in a heavy limb, it reacts like a dry fire and cracks, I've done it. you can put a 50kg bolt in a 50lbs limb and it will just about budge. wont damage it, or 90, 110, 150 for that matter. doesn't work the other way around though. that's why steambow and gogun put rated to 120lbs limbs on the package, for the war and Saxon bolts. no one will pay the cost of a mass production 300+ grain bolt.

      @@MyMyself-yr5ks yep, the prob with the 150lbs limb, when used all the time, with the cocking lever, it chews out the rails on the slabs, in a few weeks ill be doing a review on some alloy slabs, not cheap though, 64 quid a pair. but.... all depends on how often your going to use a 150, for a few long shots its ok, but I think the 90 or 120 is the best all rounders, the 150 is better in a single shot with long range heavy bolts, around 400grain

      @markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 the 150 is officially not rated for the Stinger but for the survival only ... that being said of course people will use it in the Stinger. From what I have heard from other people is that if your cocking claws are screwed in correctly then the 150 won't chew up the side plates, I have a 150 limb but I am jot going to risk it, yet. The alloy side plates are intriguing 🤔

      @@CrossTactics morning dude, well the one thing, I'm curious about is, something has to give, on wear n tear, so would the alloy dig into the cheap metal cocking arms? how long would they last before they start cutting into the upper chassis part of the rail or wear through and snap themselves... cheaper to replace the plastic side panels than the chassis or arms....
      but in a real world shtf situations, internet and power is gone down, where would you get side panels, unless you had some in spares or a new chassis. better off sticking to the 90 I reckon. better to have a long service life than 100 shots of high power.

      gonna be around 175ish grain, carbon bolts are only light, but stronger, more consistent and better with heavier limbs, around 250ish grain lined

    • @MyMyself-yr5ks
      @MyMyself-yr5ks 2 месяца назад +1

      @@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 The 175 grain would be great for cobra limbs and other 50# units. Where as the 250 gr. versions would be great for alligator limbs or higher.

      @@MyMyself-yr5ks yup, anything over 90lbs, these bolts are to light, would split the limb.

      @@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 ive shoot those light torpedo bolts that come with the redback out of a 110# limb before. They seemed to lose control and there by accuracy at that speed. No damage to the limb though. All the pistol bows need heavier better made ammo than most of whats being offered by major manufacturers currently. Just my personal opinion really but I stand by it. 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@MyMyself-yr5ks you wana have a look at my bolts playlist, I've been doing heavy bolts and long range bolts for nearly 7 years, i do 10 carbons as well for the pistol bows. I picked up on how light the bolts were years ago, but like anything else, people want the heavy bolts, at same price as a pack of chewing gum!
