I started as a hobbyest, enjoying bow shooting, and discovered how shockinly bad and lacking, the range of bolts for pistol bows. So decided to make my own by hand. These became very popular on ebay and have now gone full production with partners in china and holland

We're the cut out gaps in the aluminium limp tips for the stringing aid? I'm thinking of getting 120lb limbs, but only if I can string it.
hiya, thr 150 will go, but you will REALLY need a stock extension, but cocking it, is a different matter, ive used 2 80lbs limbs in together, which are actually around 55lbs each giving you aprox 110lbs, but never tried the 120 or 150 in the alloy
Having fun with a 120 lb similar build only issue i have left to iton out is the cocking latch keeps breaking. Might have to have one pcbway machined or smthn
i used the catch off a mk 1 cobra, you can always sell the spares on ebay then :)
@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 took a few tries but successfully embedded a nail into a printed catch finally seems to be holding good enough for me tbh.
No link to the government video you was on about at the 4:00 mark.
you tube took it down butty
Tyranny of a government, sad if they stop and ban archery which is a great stress reducing sport. Been doing it since I was in the scouts many years ago. The police have way to many powers, the government is no longer for the people, I wish we had a constitution like in America, the 1st and 2nd amendment would be priceless. I guess we'll own nothing and be happy. I can't stand two tier kier, hope Trump puts him in his place!
If we defend our homes it's us who get in trouble and the intruder gets pampered and treated like a victim. It's backwards, proper clown world.
the law has acrually changed, your now allowed to use, disproportinate force, its on the cps gov web page. basically if you have 2 or more armed guys entering your house and your cleaning your ak, sat by the tv, you can use it! as long as they are coming at you and your in fear of your life.
Nice one, where to get these files, especially the honeycomb one?🤩🥰👍
Good day. I recently saw a video of a restored Barnett Cobra slingshot in your shorts. Please tell me what model it is and approximately what year it was manufactured.
hiya, its a mk1 cobra, 1986 european model, white handle, the american version had a yellow strip handle.
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 Спасибо за ответ.)
Been finding that customizing the bolts and and making ur own is a really fun part of the hobby. Found some of these out the hard way, but very informative nonetheless!
yup and depending on your weight distribution, you actually increase your range as well, I prefer nose heavy yo mid though.
Any comments on the recent Joerg Sprave video rubbishing the Steambow ar6 2 compared to the mey interceptor?
yup, was an unfair test, he didnt transfer the bow limbs, to compare them, in the other machine and you cant compare an 8oo quid crossbow with 150 pound mags, with a 350 pound crossbow. its like comparing an XR3i with an RS Cosworth,
Hey dude i cannot overstate how much id love an aluminum mag for the miniadder i know its dependant on interest, my recent adderini build has been great fun and it would be nice to have the magazine be more durable as its the part subject to the most stress. If that ever to fruition let me know asap
I swear i was just looking at machining costs the other day before giving up after realizing the effort involved, i also have equal interest for an aluminum alligator\adderini\any other of these little 6.3" bolt crossbow magazines that i havent heard about yet. if u ever do anything like that I'll be the first in line 1000%
i can say straight and with expeience, to print a mini adder mag in alloy is about 600 quid, would be cheaper to make it in layers and screw together, but the runners would still have to be cad cam machined, which would still cost about a 100 ish
@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 o man that's pricey, I figured machining would be cheaper but didn't know the discrepancy was that big. Would be a good way to learn a little about those mini sheet metal cnc's possibly but I cannot justify the time investment for that at all lol. I'd still be happy to pay in the idk 225usd$ range or whatever reasonable markup for a machined version considering file translations and machine shop sourcing and everything but Im pretty sure its not really a mass marketable thing, would be a hell of a gift to myself tho. Got an alligator build cooking based on your yearish old advertised setups, suppose I will try out the baraba design next.
@@jaminmayo7125 yup, 3d printing in allot is expensive as feck, I do carbon fiber mags for the op360`s which is stronger than the plastics and more give. I do them for 180 in kit form or 230 built up with the steambow spring kit. machining would be cheaper, but then you would have to find a factory that can down load the plans and machine from a solid billet, average alloy billet is about 100 quid. for a 1 kilo lump.
steambow alloy mag is a really basic design, you can make it from 2 alloy side pieces and 2 alloy blocks and screw it all together, but the mini adder is complicated, as you have to machine in runners, there is a guy, who had one made in copper, looks cool AF, but he paid about a grand for it...wrf! LOL :)
You can't add the 90lbs into the adderini?
you can too Farmimers version, the standard version you need to print some parts in carbon etc, to take the extra strain. just depends on how much you want to spend
@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 ill spend extra for the better parts
Nice vid, mate.😊👊👊 regards, pete
:) cheers butty :)
Hello and thank you for the video and advices ! I just received mine today and I will take time to properly lubricate it before use. 👍👍👍
cheers for that, dont use wd40 on anything, the polymer doesn`t like it, mineral based lubes are better :)
Where did you get that target from?
hiuyua, the target is from steambow
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887Cheers, I just had another look and it does actually say it on your target 😂 Think it will handle the EK Archery adder with the 180lb upgrade limb?
@@MrSh4W not under 20 meteres it wont, im using 34lbs limb with the broadhads with a chipboard back stop at 10m and they still slice through. i can honestly say you oneed to be at around 25-30m with the 120lbs limb and broad heads and they still poke out the back.
Hi all, I’m a massive fan of the metal magazine and I would always place it in higher regard than the plastic polymer m10 upper. In saying this I haven’t bought or tried it in respect of fairness. I believe the metal magazine gives you the required weight to feel better and be more accurate. In its original form the Ar stinger is too much lightweight to maintain accuracy levels. Adding the metal magazine transforms into half and half, plastic lower/metal upper which is the perfect balance in my opinion. By adding the rail mounts to the bottom and side with attachments gives you more of the weight needed to feel nice and sturdy. I’m happy for those with the m10 to contest me, yet I think having 4 less bolts to throw out is far outweighed by the other benefits of the metal magazine. Thanks Mark for all you’re Steambow content, it’s absolutely brilliant though I’m not sure I want to see you dress as Santa again.
ha ha ha no santa! :) got it, will be the rocky horror picture show next time :) ha ha lol yes i agree, for serious use the metal mag is more sturdy, more reliable, less t go wrong and if your doing a fast mag change on the m10, you cant keep throwing the mags down on the floor, they will eventually break! the poly mag is good for just occasional use, close range, home defence, inside a room. 75lbs ish limb for fast reloads with the razor blade broadheads. the heavy broadheads 90 lbs and over really. as ive run out of stock on those and ordering more material next week, ill have time this week. to film the adderini carbine build guide and then i can start the farimier mini adder then. before the parts arrive.. thanks for the support butty :)
Can you import the K2 knife into the uk?
yep, just go onto the steambow web site and order direct from steambow, you will need proof of id.
Thanks mate@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887

Just to share i only needed like 30 seconds of needle file work to get that 80 lb "mini crossbow" limb to fit. Didnt expect it to so easily but they were so cheap i gave it a go. Looking at other bow projects rn but my baby printer can only rlly fit this or the baraba. Maybe ill do the ball bearing mag version in the meantime to save myself some bolt (arrow? Idk) recovery time. Tho obviously making ur own bolts has an appeal as well i kinda love the cheap plastic ones they go light speed
May I suggest you take a look at the zorro butane insert. I have found that to be equally as good quaility as the other zorro products
thanks for that, the zippo insert has been sitting in a draw, since filming.

Awesome little thing
apparently, its good for trick or treat as well :) lol
I've found magazines are crap for shooting war bolts. When Israel attacks Iran and we enter WW3 and if I'm still breathing, I'll be using a back-up, 120lbs survival steambow with war bolts. For the UK sake, I hope they don't ban the crossbow, however, the magazine crossbow is kinda toyish when true SHTF.
what people dont realise is, 150 lbs draw on pistol bow, is not the same as a 150 lbs draw on a rifle bow or long bow... the poundage only refers to the energy to draw the thing. what longer limbs on the rifles and long bows put out is 10 times higher. my center point sniper, may only be 185lbs, 35lbs more, but the kinetic energy is 4 times greater. ive got a velocity armageddon which is 175lbs and the selling point on the box was, guaranteed to drop a kodiak bear at 50 yards, i thought hmmmm, that will do nicely :) lol
i think in the uk, the mags are an excellent option, for bug out shelters, home defence, close quarter, house clearing, last stand as hand guns are not an option in the uk, maybe a few hundred long pistols with 14" barrel and arm brace, but nothing much. all the proper pistols, the criminals, army and police have, secret service etc. so basically civilians are fckd, as NONE of those can be trusted! best option is to arrange local civy platoons, 4-8 men, practicing on weekends etc. i did try to start a shooting league a few years ago, i didnt get one responce.
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 If SHTF, most likely we're all dead. Those that survive will wish they were dead. Home defense and Hunting is where the crossbow gives us its best. There was a time when I was a firm believer in Steambow's tactical and OP360 magazine crossbows. After further inspection, I found the single shot to be more accurate and you can use 9 inch bolts where the tactical cannot. 6 inch bolts are too short and are barely accurate to bet your life on. It's criminals who will make the new rules if governments are lost to WW3 and the new criminals will be those who cannot follow the new laws. We're all criminals, we just can't see it.
hi there mark i got the op360 with the snake hunter , do you have the press too release part that goes on the cocking arm mine is snapped i looked on your ebay listings

Hi, would a 150 grain bolt be suitable for the 90lb limbs on the steambow stinger 2? Cheers
hiya, yes a heavy bolt on a light limb is ok, you cant do, the other way around. light bolt in a heavy limb.
I just got this bow, and I didn't use a bow stringer to string it. I just used my feet, and my hands.
Beautiful crossbow...not the music.
