3:56 from what I understand the CGI model for Shockwave was based off of the Optimus Prime one. They replaced a lot of parts, of course, but they did leave a few unchanged. Other than the color. Which is why that Autobot symbol is there.
Its funny that the symbol is just an unchanged part, but adds cool lore implications
fun fact: the cibertron scene on the bambolbee movie was not meant to be there in the script of the movie so they had no time to make the decepticons so some of them Like shockwawe and Soundwave have Optimus prime arms and legs.
My favorite game to play is which bumblebee characters have recycled feet and legs

Ill tell you what, for my money, the big 3rd party one is nice, but the retail one is SO much more purple and that is an absolute win in my book.
3:49 Why Shockwave have the autobot symbols, there are a couple theories, but I suspect Shockwave was once an Autobot (Senator) before he was kidnapped and reprogrammed.

I thought the Autobot symbol was a sly reference to his IDW origin, where he was essentially a lobotomized former senator, a sub-Prime... but that was pre-Autuobots, so I got nothing.

my issue with this shockwave is the arms and lack of articulation here will probs be getting the eventuall ko with thise articulations.
Core class has bicep swivel but the voyager doesn’t :(

The lack of bicep swivel makes this an easy pass for me. That kind of missing articulation is unacceptable to me personally at that price point. I will admit the aesthetic of the toy is wonderful, however. If the bicep swivel were there? I might pick it up on a discount. …I still might, if the discount were good enough.
Definitely makes sense, but I don't care about the missing bicep swivel. He poses well enough without it and looks amazing. I'm definitely still buying it.
