This mans attitude on this and his other uploads have so much positivity that contribute to someone’s mental health which is amazing and he most probably doesn’t even know how much he helps people .....Mark, you are @mazing..
Very true. Been dealing with depression since early January and as a result have had to take a year out of my medicine degree. Marks channel always provides a bit of light relief and helps me take my mind off things.
I wish I still lived by the ocean. All the years i was there i never thought of making a crab tank. Always caching rock pool fish, now i want a crab tank cheers Mark always brilliant 🍻
I do love these native aquariums you do. When me and my kids holiday in wales, me being me I always set up a temp aquarium to keep some of our rockpool catches in for a few days
You taking the Mrs out for dinner that’s posh, if it was me and my wife I would have offered her one of my chips two if she did not keep talking on the way down to the beach.😂👍 great vids as usual .thanks ..good luck
@@MARKSAQUATICS Think nothing of it. Your videos gave me the thought of doing pretty much the same thing using stuff I found in my local estuary, I accidentally caught the tiniest crab I've ever seen.
Amazed at how colourful all these creatures are. Thought you had to go tropical to get a colourful marine tank. I like that you can take the creatures back if they outgrow or something doesn’t work out too. Looking forward to a rock pooling trip when the weather improves!
Looking good Mark, Me and the boy got a few bits for the tank at the weekend, It's coming along nicely, I must of been over feeding or just new tank problems, had a film on the water, so added a little old skimmer, i had. Seems to of cleared up,
I've watch hundreds of your videos over the last couple of years. I Don't remember ever watching one that I didn't learn something from. Love it. Cheers bruv.👍
Mark - Could you move to Peru? I would love to see you walk down to the streams and set up those fish as well! LOL! This tide pool stuff is really brilliant! Thank you!
I set up a breeding tank for my apisto's put in 2 females and a male... one of the females and the male are my main breeding paid. Had a look in one of the caves I've put in the tank for them to breed in, and I've got eggs already. Been less than 2 weeks I think. But I am loving your rock pool videos :D
Mark you've gone and done it again. Superb Tank. That big crab is a trouble maker. It's written all over his face. Watch your fingers. :) I am off to the chippy. :)
Not a lot of rockpool in my local area but inspired by Mark I went and had a look today as a bit of reconnaissance. Found a couple of promising spots :)
I've only just discovered your channel!! So glad I did. Some great videos. I particularly found the clownfish breeding series very helpful. What salinity do you run on this tank? And do you need to heat it?
Mark, absolutely love your videos, mate. Never has a 23 minute video felt so short. Sorry if I missed this but do you know what species those anemones are specifically? They’re beautiful. EDIT: Looks a little like Anemonia viridis?
Mark, could you tell me what pump ( power etc ) do you have in the filter compartment, plus what other medium you may be using. If I was to set up a fluval flex 56 litre like thus would the existing pump be sufficient, it has a decent flow with dual nozzle outlet, with 2 small inlet section slots on left bottom and top of rear of tank.the useable area of tank it’s prob only 50 litre and maybe the filter about 7 litres which is a decent size of 4 compartments talking up the whole back section. I’d appreciate ur thoughts n advice ...great seeing those crabs in sneaky lil nooks.
Hi Mark, great content. I'm instant subscriber after watching that 6' paladarium video & tidepool tanks thereafter. I fwd your page to Tanner of Serpa Design also youtuber, he has large following & you two share many same interests so I felt obligated to give you a shout on his page....specifically under comments from his newest creation, moss brick wall how to vid, in case you'd like to lookup the commentary or if not familiar give his page a gander yourself. Keep up good work, from NJ USA, Lata 🐊
Just what you said about when they out grow ther tink you could bring them back,, you've been in the game long enough mate but I'm nearly shur I definitely read that it is elegal to do that,, I don't think you are aloud to put them back into the wild agen because they could have a desese and it could start to spread
Top stuff Mark. I live on the Fylde coast, bit further up from you, Cleveleys is my local beach. Now that Star Wars Andor has wrapped up production here, we can get back on the beach properly to forage. There was this story which will probably interest you www.lancs.live/news/lancashire-news/mysterious-baby-alien-objects-discovered-20565197 maybe the facts are not 100% and you can add a 2nd opinion? Do you get sea gooseberries appearing in wales? We get lots washed up at a certain time of year, is it something you may consider for your native tank? Quite colourful I believe in water as they propel themselves along. Cheers as always for your updates fella 👍
They could be leathery sea squirt's. Yes Pleurobrachia pileus the sea gooseberry. Beautiful creatures but there's to much flow in my tank plus other filter dangers.
Was having a bad morning....Watched this video.... I am no longer angry.....cheers Mark!
That's the way. Chill out.
Awesome, I luv it when you take us adventuring out n about...right, now on with watching Lisa

Just finished binge watching the last three vids, love the new 🦀 tank, great idea.
They're fascinating. Almost like an alien lifeform.
Fantstic Mark, watching the Crabs must be great fun...you could watch the crazy dudes all day
All some drama unfolding.
that moment when the crab backs up inside his little hole and all you can see is his beady little eyes shinning from the darkness.. soooo cool..

When you go down the local beach, everything looks brown.
I can't wait to set up one of these.

Loving the crab 🦀 tank the hermit crabs are amazing little creatures 🐚🦀🦐🦞
Such a cool idea of making tank with local aquatic wildlife👍
Wow, that's amazing. I wouldn't have though a British beach tank could be so wonderful.
And there's more to find yet.
Awesome video, given me way more insight, will be making changes in my crab tank, thank-you

Hi Tom. The salinity is 35 ppt. Thanks for watching.
Yo,
Your videos are so inspiring that I'm actually gonna make an English rockpool aquarium myself😃
Go for it! Thanks for watching.
Agree. Where do you get yo see a close up of a barnacle like that. Not kept fish for years but Mark is inspiring me too. Thinking Koi pond though.
@@flyingmattyboy good luck with the barnacles. Let us k ow how it goes. Those are notoriously hard to keep alive.

EDIT: Looks a little like Anemonia viridis?
Yes the long flowing ones are Anemonia viridis. They come in gray and bright green with purple tips.
LOVEEE ITTTTT update us!!!
You should deffinetly put more sand in for them to burrow in, it would be really interesting to watch. Let me know what you think 😉.
Yes I will put more sand in for them .😀👍
@@MARKSAQUATICS excelent, love it and have a good night!
Crabs are wonderful characters. I love them... So I was wondering... no video of Mrs Aquatics on the shore... was she blown away in the gale? 😳
We both had fun In the wind and rain. Then it was coffee time. Thanks for watching.
Looking ace. The big crab might be too large for that tank though?
All the big crabs are going back on my next foraging trip.
That hermit crab, wow the colours POP like crazy. What exactly is it mark? Is the shell try to life with colour as the video shows?
Yes its algea growing on it.
@12:07 I think I need some crabs in my life
Has anyone set one of these tanks up yet ? I would love to see it ☺
i am looking forward to see your videos

The pump is an eheim 1000. All the media I've got in the back Chambers is some biohome and sponges.

Hi Mark. I am curious. What happened to that circular tank you called crab Island? Did that project work?
Yes its still going. I must do an update.
Daft question ,do hermit crabs cast their shell ?
Yes they do. They do it comfort of their shell and push out the old moult
Is it enough space for that big crab in this tank?
I'm taking the big crab to the shore on my next foraging trip and picking up some little dude's 😀👍
