A Benson ghost story I'd not read before - what a treat. He had a wondrous range of style and subject, didn't he? The same mind that created Mapp and Lucia, and countless silver-fork romances set in suburban villas, could make shuddersome tales that still stand up to our modern scrutiny.
You and Simon Stanhope are the best currant readers that I have found on youtube , but I wonder if you would agree that the best ever were Sir Michael Horden and the sainted Prunella Scales ?
