That is a good review Kate . We've never tried any of those camping types of meals we usually just grab food from the supermarket . After watching this review and your other one . I am going to look into trying some of these out on our next kayak camp . Such a simple hassle free way to cook tucka after a long days kayaking
Any idea what the typical expiry date left on them is? I like to order up a few options and keep them in stock when they can't be easily bought locally.
Oh I found this on the website “They last for 3 years from date of manufacture” so probably best to buy directly from them over a shop to get the fresher ones.
Fantastic vid kate! For next years round, ive heard of a new aussie contender, offgrid meals. My favourite is still the flora and fauna tags so we know what we're looking at.
So good mate. Yeah I’ve heard good things about them. I believe they are a no brand. We are so lucky with food these days. Happy hiking. Hope to have a new hiking vid out soon
Great observation about the plastic in boiling water Kate. What plastics are suitable for these? I’ve no idea. Was just thinking about sous vide plastic as an option? Wonder if it’s the same? There’s a lot of research happening about plastics lowering male fertility. I listened to an episode on ScienceVs podcast about this about a year ago. Probably need to listen to it again.

Yeah thanks mate. It does make it super easy hey. But also lovely to make your own. Happy paddling.
Looks good, especially, as you say, for dry trips. And I'm guessing most people do plenty of weekend walks where food weight isn't such a big worry.
thanks mate yeah I've even been taking them for the first night on trail. hope you are doing well
And then you eat it and the weight difference is gone!
@@motchevhaha absolutely

Oh yeah cool. I have no idea hey. I wish none of the meals were in plastic hey. Campers Pantry use a metallic type bowl.
Good on ya Kate! :)
Thanks! 😊
