in this discussion we lay out the possibility that Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 isn't who he says he is, in the theory that has been circulating the internet regarding his identity. Could he be an inheritor from the Spider-Man Marvel Amazing Spider-Man comic run by Dan Slott? Or is he just Spider-Man?

Well, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord are creative friends. In Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2, we see that Flint's idol is a villain. Miles wanted to join the Spider Society but Miguel points out that He does not belong there.
The moral lesson of both stories is that when someone calls two teens a mistake and someone says You don't belong in that society, does not mean that's true.
@@NadeemShekh-uy9znhe isn’t a villain he’s an antagonist, a villain is more like spot who is set to hurt the main character, but Miguel just wants to keep the multiverse safe no matter what. He’s kinda like thanos inna way
Personally, I don't think this'll happen. This would completely disregard the Spot becoming a multiversal threat and his aspirations to becomes Miles' nemesis. We have to remember that despite all the added fluff and fanfare of the Spider-Verse that this is ultimately Miles' story and they've already set up a perfect narrative contrast by invoking the classic "evil twin" archetype for Beyond The Spider-Verse. Migel even said himself that he doesn't enjoy what he does but knows that someone has to do it. He's a very "by the book" type of character, so introducing this whole other side of him just wouldn't make sense,

Miguel has Fangs because his spider powers gave him retractable claws on his fingers and toes he has fangs too that let him paralyze his foes
Wouldn't be a fan of this to be honest. Beyond has enough to address that's been set up already and i don't think the Inheritors would add anything to this storyline at all and just reducing Miguel to just another Inheritor would be underwhelming
Miguel isnt a vampire.... he has famgs because he was caught in a gene splicer and got his genes spliced with a spider, giving him fangs that have a paralyzing neurotoxin. He uses it as a last resort to paralyze and neutralize the bad guys.

@@LewisFilmsProductions I would be honestly shocked if they made him out to be a vampire. I just think in general he's going to be a manipulative asshole who only operates on confirmation bias.
All spiders have eight legs, no wings, and only two body parts: a thorax and an abdomen. They also all have "fangs" and enough venom to kill the insects that make up their diet. And all spiders have two or three tarsal "claws".
They really should bring Madame Web in the movie after all she is leader of all the Spiders

I kinda think it's suspicious that we haven't seen superior spiderman thus far, considering he was kind of a big deal in the spider-verse comic. It's probably nothing, but I do want to throw his name out as a possible villain
@@quicklyform5162 They would need to get a voice actor who could do a Otto/Peter voice. I've always imagined that's what he'd sound like in Peter's body. Hopeful Superior gets more screentime because he's one of the most important parts of the Spider Verse and Spider Geddon story.

Honestly if this turned out to be true, then it'd be the absolute worst way to end the trilogy. It'd ruin the whole grey morality of the story, because then it'd go from "accepting fate and being safe vs risking everything to fight destiny" to just "oh yeah so this guy he was evil all along lol"

I think it would be a really weird choice to suddenly more faithful adapt the Spider-Verse comic and disregard their own story just using the name with Miles
Plus they already announced Spot is the main villain of Across and Beyond the Spider-Verse lol
This is a great theory, but If that were the case, then why was he reluctant to letting Gwen join at the beginning of the movie and why did he not want Miles either?
Miguel being an inheritor is kinda stupid.... people need to stop trying to tie connections to the two just because hes got fangs doesn't mean hes an inheritor.
Miguel in the comic book has fangs and red eyes just like that. He’s not a vampire though he just has fangs because of the spider DNA

This would create far more unanswered questions than answer existing ones. I think people are misinterpreting the alluding to Miguel's illegitimacy as a Spiderman as him ACTUALLY not being a Spiderman, when in reality it's more of an ironic jab at Miguel for being one of the first unconventional Spider-persons, and that being one of his defining traits throughout the history of his character. Miles is far more of a conventional Spiderman than Miguel, which is what makes Miguel's firm belief in Miles being anomalous for not following how the story is supposed to go, so ironic. Miguel's origins and story, at least in the comics, barely, if ever follows any of the events a traditional Spider-person experiences. I hope we see more reflection and self awareness of this on Miguel's part in the next movie. Maybe even an aspect of the story will be directly tied in with this.

I have a theory about "Beyond the Spider-Verse." I believe that there will not be a fourth or fifth installment because the third movie will directly address the cannon in the form of the fourth wall. The movie will explore why the cannon exists and how we, as inhabitants of earth 1218, are affecting events across the multiverse. The writers of our reality are responsible for shaping the characters and events across the Spider-Verse. The characters will realize that in order to break away from the cannon and help without enforcing it, they must take responsibility and break away from their creators. This will lead to the Spider-Society breaking away from us and their actions no longer directly influenced by our reality. As a result, we will not be able to see Miles' story progress because we will no longer have the ability to influence his character. However, this also allows the characters to be free and prevent tragic events without fear of breaking the cannon.
Maybe not now. But after the Spot is stop. Then the vampires can come to play in the story or try to take Spot's powers so they can go place to place with no problems

i think the bad guys for the next one will be the sinister 6 cartel and kingpin in e42 and spot in e1610. i don’t think miguel is morlun because morlun and his entire family is never known to do this, except maybe jennix. the inheritors also prefer to hunt and chase rather than feast on the entire group in one place. miguel gathering spider people is very similar to superior spider man or spider uk, later madame web, uk and arana, who gathers spider people to protect the spider verse. also, the spider sense tingles like crazy whenever an inheritor is approaching, so morlun being miguel is highly unlikely.
i watched this movie 7 times now, and i have way whackier theories than this. i do think the inheritors will be mentioned in beyond but not this way. i think miles might go beyond the spider verse to its origin, the web of life and destiny, to change the fate of his dad, as well as allowing spider people to have free will over their lives, which was a point of conflict in the spider verse event. maybe they’ll meet the master weaver.
also what’s weird is that when miguel replaces a civilian, it disrupts a canon event, which is supposed to be spider man related right? so who is the spider man of that world and what event did miguel disrupt? well what if, like otto, miguel unalived the spider man of that world, which is also miguel, in order to replace him? 2099 isn’t exclusive to 928. there is one in 616, and there is one in another dimension as well, who was hunted by morlun. what if miguel replaced a spider man which is what disrupted the canon and destroyed that dimension? regardless, this shows that miguel was willing to be happy with his family even if it defies the rules, which is another point that miles and miguel shares. i’d like to think that miguel is what miles will become if he actually agrees to not save his dad, and maybe in beyond miles will appeal to this side of miguel and get miguel to side with him.
also, canon events are what happens to spidermen. miles isn’t supposed to be a spiderman, so who’s to say that saving his dad will disrupt the canon? maybe it already happened to peter of 1610 and that alone is good enough for the canon. although, if you think about how 42 miles was supposed to be spiderman (based on spot’s flashback), and his dad, who’s probably a police captain who got promoted earlier in life due to an increase in crime, is gone, then the canon event has already happened, and nothing bad will come if miles saves his dad. also, the information that miguel and lyla presents are just things they gather and deduce, not the objective truth. case in point, gwen’s dad srops being captain, but her world doesn’t unravel.
on the note of next movie’s villains, i think that miles 42 isn’t a bad guy. they seem to be struggling even though crime is booming in this world. also it’d be kind of weird to spray paint a portrait of his police dad if he’d be doing crimes. and why isn’t aaron prowler right? i think aaron got jeff killed, so he stops being prowler due to survivor’s guilt, and miles inherit the title to fight crime. if this is true, then the sinister 6 cartel will probably have vulture, liv, green goblin, scorpion, rhino and tombstone, whose models are already made and animated, with kingpin at the top. also it shows that even without powers, spiderman will still be spiderman. the reason why e42 isn’t unraveled yet, even though the canon event of the “spider bite” isn’t occurred, is probably because that miles 42 just gets it later than most, so he might get his spider powers in beyond the spider verse and becomes spider prowler which would be really sick
Gwen and her team visits Earth 42 and learns that the Prowler in this universe is a rival to the Sinister 6, so they team up with the Sinister 6 to defeat the Prowler and save Miles. We can have a really cool battle between the two armies. Miles frees himself but one of the Spiderpeople betrays Gwen and takes them to Miguel.
Pavitra finds Tobey, Tom and Andrew to give the web order witness to the fact that changing fate does not destroy timeline, it creates new ones. Pavitra's universe wasn't destroyed, the timeline was just split in two and they got trapped in between. The web order turns against Miguel and helps Miles and Gwen escape. Miguel turns out to be an inheritor and attacks his organisation, but fails to tackle so many of them.
The spiderpeople goes to Miles' universe to stop the Spot. Miguel takes Spot to the inheritors. The inheritors attack the spiderpeople. A really crazy battle ensues. Spot injures Jafferson Davis. Miles considers for a while. Turns out that the entire battle was going on in his head. Neither there were the spiderpeople nor the inheritors. Peter B Parker tells him how uncle Ben died because of his lack of responsibility. Miles lets his father die. Ben died because of Peter's lack of responsibility and Jafferson Davis died because of Miles' sense of responsibility. Miles goes to Miguel with bloody hands and submits himself. Miguel reflects and betrays the inheritors. Miguel dies a hero.
The inheritors sends an unknown villain back in time to kill Mary Parker. Gwen and Jessica are recruited by Madame Webb. The battle is far from over...
No. Please no. You also seem to forget that Miles had a day or so at best to stop Spot, so I think that would take way too long. Instead it should start with Miles helping his other varient defeat the Sinister Six, stop the Spot, but his Dad gets hosptilized instead of killed, the two Spider Teams fight Miguel's team wins. Hobbie is able to escape and gets the help of Tom, Tobey, and Andrew. Pavitra sneaks into Spider Socitiy and tries to free Gwen's team, but gets stopped by Spectaular. The two fight and Pavitra is able to convince Spectacular that Miguel is wrong. The team escapes to Miles's world and Miguel's team follows after them. The fighting gets dragged to the hospital and Miles tries to protect his Dad from the Spot. With the help of Tobey, Spectacular, Andrew, Gwen, and Hobbie, they defeat the Spot. Miles turns around with a torn mask and smiles since he was able to save his Father. He looks at his Mom to see her bleeding out. Miles rushes to her and calls out for help, but his Mother dies in his arms. Miles and Miguel are able to settle their differences and stop the fighting because a couple Spider-Men/Women are dead or sverely injured and Miles's Mother is dead. Bam. End of movie. Save Inheritor stuff for Madme Web. The actual Madme Web movie.

Not a fan of this. The Inheritors really don't fit in this story ir any of its themes. It's an unneeded complication that would just confuse people who hadn't read the comics.
Interesting but I think that would be too much especially with the Spot, Evil Miles and the Sinister Six which maybe the spiders that are going to get Miles out of that universe and also try to restore it since there is no Spider-Man in that world but I guess it could wrap things up. But I think Miguel is just trying to write the wrong like a caretaker for the multiverse while Miles is in the wrong where he trying to break the cycle and play god.

I've heard rumors of a Spider Geddon movie, so they would most likely do it there, assuming those rumors are true. I hope they don't do that, though, because I'm making an adaptation of the orginial Spider Verse comic with my stop motion Spider Verse Saga I'm planning and I'm hoping to do my best to tie it into the movies.

Well I really wanted ether a Multiversal sinister six, Spider Queen, evil Spider-People or a Goblin verse where we not only have different green goblins but other goblins like Hobgoblin,Menace, Demogoblin etc
The Sinister Six was mentioned in Prowler Miles earth (Earth-42) at the end of Across the Spider-Verse as the Sinister Six Cartel, So they might be villains in the next film just not the main villians.

Yeah no I don’t buy this theory. Maybe if it had some set up in the movie then I could buy it. Something along the lines of them seeing an inheritor when they were walking past all the captured villains and miles asking who is that or even Miles questioning why all the spider people are gathered in Nueva York in the first place. This could lead to Gwen telling him there was a war between them and these energy sucking beings. Miles could say that sounds a lot like vampires. Gwen can then respond like they were a lot like vampires. Miles would then ask what happened and Gwen would say “Miguel happened”. This would allude to him to being either strong enough to stop the inheritors and the reason all the Spider-people follow him or there being some huge secret as to how he beat them.(Insert he is an inheritor theory). But none of that happened so I don’t buy it. Miguel is just being led by emotion and Miles is now the target of all that emotion. Not a vampire in disguise….just a father who lost his multiversal daughter
I think that Miguel O’Hara is antagonist in beyond the spider verse because he’s a vampire Spider-Man. Which makes it a nod towards the original comic with Morlun being the villain. I don’t think Morlun should be the villain in the sequel, but I think O’Hara is merely filling in that Vampire role and it works
