There's no idea to be sold. Religion is a man made invention. There is no such thing as meaning. Your life is meaningless as is mine. When we die we return to the nothing from which we came.
This is pretty impressive, though the material would not come across in a transcript. This man has amazing charisma. I thought that he was tied with Patrick McGoohan for best Columbo Villain in the revived version. Subtle acting touches. At the end, ever the good sport he asks: "Mr. Columbo, can you recommend a prison with a good music programme"? And his distinct resemblance to John Cleese made me reflect on what a brilliant Columbo Villain Cleese would have made. Columbo vs. Basil Fawlty. Maybe he finally Jack Lemon'd his wife...
He'd love our house. Stuff goes flying off shelves, scooting across the floor. Books move themselves on the bookshelves. Doesn't bother me, and I don't know much about "ghosts" but there's definitely something going on haha.
True story. I worked at a multi-plex, and several co-workers told me that one particular theater was haunted by a little girl. Decades ago, there was a fire; she was the only victim. They felt her presence from time to time. Sometimes, co-workers would spot something moving out of the corner of their eyes. First off, please, never drop something that heavy on my lap. I lose sleep over s**t like that. Secondly, I'm not a religious man. However, whenever I entered that particular theater by myself, I politely greeted her and asked how her day was. I didn't want to take any chances. It was enough I had to deal with obnoxious customers and idiot bosses. The last thing I needed was a PO'ed ghost giving me trouble.
I went to see him once at The King's Theatre as I also saw him in an episode of Columbo in Murder In Too Many Notes I am dedicating this TV series called Columbo to my old school friends who are both sisters as I hope to see them both again very soon to Chris and Hester from Billyxxxxx
Legend. Americans and Brits have their own comics and typically stick to there own. Billy transcends both and is truly the definition of 'legend'. Brilliant.
All they should need in the dictionary for the definition of "legend" is a picture of Billy Connolly. Nobody in their right mind could argue with that I reckon. A Scottish, British, EARTHLY fucking treasure, no two ways about it.
@@SpicyTexan64 Richard Pryor is dead, Billy isn't. If Richard Pryor were a legend why is it a lot of people have never heard of him. He was junkie, not a legend.
For two summers, I worked as a reenactor / tour guide at Fort William Henry in Lake George. This was the place where they had the siege and later the massacre in 1757, what was in the film Last of the Mohicans. When I worked there, never any issues, nothing. They later brought in some ghost hunters, whatever, and now of course, there's ghosts there, they do ghost tours, I know one person who keeps telling me he's heard stuff, seen stuff etc. when he visits. It's a gimmick used to sell t-shirts and nonsense and to try and bring in people because the historical aspect doesn't bring in as many as it used to.
Some historical sites have the opposite problem. If a tourist spots something strange, tour-guides take them aside and ask that they not say anything. It's apparently bad for business.
2:05 - This applies even more to Most Haunted now in 2022. A show which has now become a parody of itself. They are now relegated to their RUclips channel, as no respectable TV station wishes to be associated with them anymore after a decade or more of blatant fakery by their own production team, including Karl Beattie, who likes to throw knives around pretending it was a ghost who did it.
The most haunted episode that made me laugh out loud was the one in Venice. The presenters were in a small boat on the Venetian lagoon. The asked the spirits of the lagoon (in English) to knock underneath the boat. The ‘spirits’ obliged, maybe they were English spirits or maybe when you are a spirit you become multilingual!

I seem to remember a joke about someone finding living organisms in their belly button lint. They said it was a Belly Colony. Seriously, what makes Billy such a good comedian is that he is a shrewd observer of human behaviour. The American comedian George Carlin is no longer extant, but his humour lives on on the interwebs. I'm sure many people will find that even though they may have never met, Billy and George were both able to see the world in a similarly unconventional way. It's not just about making us laugh, it's also about making us think. The best comedians are also philosophers, imo.

My best friend was a pioneer of the "Ghostbusters" fan community, his prop building of proton packs/ghost traps w/pedals, ect. Anyway, I noticed him putting an awful lot of energy into paranormal research about ten years back. I tried to reason with him: " This Ghostbusters equipment isn't real. All the great props that you made have lights and sounds in them, they're props from a movie." He responded: "Those aren't the tools that I use during investigations." Chilled me to the bone, that.

There's no idea to be sold. Religion is a man made invention. There is no such thing as meaning. Your life is meaningless as is mine. When we die we return to the nothing from which we came.
I don't know if it's the hair, the lighting, or the voice but it was like "Holy crap - I'm watching John Cleese?" I adore them both!
He’s one of a kind. He’s the only comedian who makes me laugh every time🤣
Legend ! Cheers
A true legend
Wonderful man
Just superb, love billy
i just love Billy Connolly, makes me laugh every time.
Billy is a living Legend.
One of the greatest wee mental man ever 👏 ❤️ 🙌 💙 👌 ♥️ 👏 😊
this has me doubled up. the grey lady walking across the garden and Derek Acorah speaking to his guru hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha my face hurts
Billy’s humour is so natural and brilliant
Very funny man, thanks for the laughter Billy Boy! 🤣
... there's an undeniable energy about this clip...
Billy tells an awesome story. The way he does is so funny
That was so original, well done. Snicker.
Absolute legend
Thanking God I have had his humor in my life.
But he don't believe in God percy.. :D
@@villainuday5365 God believes in him though.
@@francestomic2772 that's reassuring:)
Per se

Why would you fear a child?
Oh how I love this man. 😀
That's just creepy.
The funniest man to ever grace us
How would you know that, do you know every comedian who ever existed?
@@irbennett err
Nobody says 'fuck' like a comedian, and no comedian says 'fuck' like Billy. What a master. :¬)
And then as far as writing "fuck", there's James Kelman, another Glaswegian.
I went to see him once at
The King's Theatre as I also saw him in an episode of Columbo in
Murder In Too Many Notes
I am dedicating this TV series
called Columbo to my old school friends who are both sisters as I hope to see them both again very soon to Chris and Hester from Billyxxxxx
Billy:
Genuinely brilliant and funny, merciless to fools and con artists.
@@w0bbl3rRichard Pryor was a legend. This guy is humorous
@@SpicyTexan64 Richard Pryor is dead, Billy isn't. If Richard Pryor were a legend why is it a lot of people have never heard of him. He was junkie, not a legend.
Absolutely brilliant. Hiya from the Netherlands.
You watch his stuff over and over and still laugh loudly, even though u know the lines
awesome ...so glad to be in the family
My god, Billy Connolly and I think the absolute same, thank you for posting this 😂

Billy should have been Prime Minister. Imagine it.
“ The French are upsetting our fishermen”
“Tell them to Fuck off”

2:05 - This applies even more to Most Haunted now in 2022. A show which has now become a parody of itself. They are now relegated to their RUclips channel, as no respectable TV station wishes to be associated with them anymore after a decade or more of blatant fakery by their own production team, including Karl Beattie, who likes to throw knives around pretending it was a ghost who did it.
Very true 😂😂👌
The most haunted episode that made me laugh out loud was the one in Venice. The presenters were in a small boat on the Venetian lagoon. The asked the spirits of the lagoon (in English) to knock underneath the boat. The ‘spirits’ obliged, maybe they were English spirits or maybe when you are a spirit you become multilingual!
didn't know they were still going! cringe!!
is that right????? ruclips.net/video/Pq3wZAZHPkM/видео.html look dust particles and moths much like my channel icon that just people warped imaginations
@@junemoses5359 I remember the one where Derek Acorah and the Most Haunted team ended up in Egypt and Derek got "possessed" by an Egyptian high priest who spoke remarkably good English, not bad considering the priest in question had been dead for well over 2000 years. It was cringe worthy and you could see the museum curator wasn't remotely impressed with his bullshit.
Billy Connolly is to stand up comedy what Elvis was to rock and roll. May the king of comedy material never die😀😀😀.
He will.
If he does, then it'll be on the bog.
Best review of Most Haunted that I've ever seen!🤣 God bless you, Billy.
The Big Man. Love him 🤘🏻🤘🏻
The greatest of all time. No one beats Billy.
How do you know he's the greatest of all time? Do you know everybody who's lived on this planet? Didn't think so. SFU.
Was my nan who got me into billy when I was about 12 (naughty nan😂) and been hooked ever since. Nans passed now so always think of her when I watch him
OMG the Scottish equivalent of George Carlin. 💝 IT‼️
I miss me some good old fashioned, down to earth reality, in your face George Carlin!
Great take. You're spot on.
I saw Derek acorah in Dublin airport once and always regretted not calling him a piece of shit to his face
Was he smashing your wife? If not that's very worrying behaviour to say that to someone you don't even know. Speak to someone about that before the wrong person serves you up.
My ex wife loved Derek Acorah and his dickhead side kick - one of the many reasons we're divorced, living with someone who believes in so much shite has to be a mistake😆
@@Luton-Mick The guy was right. Derek Acorah was a wanker. And there's no mistaking for someone else.
Saw Bily in Melbourne in the 90's on the WRECKONTOUR show, and never laughed so hard in all my life...
THANK YOU BILLY 🙏
My best friend was a pioneer of the "Ghostbusters" fan community, his prop building of proton packs/ghost traps w/pedals, ect. Anyway, I noticed him putting an awful lot of energy into paranormal research about ten years back. I tried to reason with him: " This Ghostbusters equipment isn't real. All the great props that you made have lights and sounds in them, they're props from a movie." He responded: "Those aren't the tools that I use during investigations."
Chilled me to the bone, that.
Anyone who "investigates" the paranormal is a tool. 😁
