@@meppo6781 yep. I have a feeling I'll have it for a long long time lol , enjoy !!
@@deminybs I am really thinking of buying it. Is the contrast ratio as bad as people make it up to be? Everyone is saying that VA blacks are much better and I"m really torn here. I'm not much of a gamer so this monitor would be mostly for watching YT videos and general use with some games here and there. Is it good for those purposes?
@@filipryniewicz6665 if more movies than gaming I might go for a VA panel , mainly for darker scenes,
or there are a couple other good IPS displays with a higher contrast ratio .
or just get a OLED tv lol, that would be awesome for movies an stuff
Is there a 24 or 25 version of this? Can't do 27 too big...
should i get this one or LG 34GK950F?
Did you end up getting either?
@@jayquilla1227 i got the LG 34GK950F
Still a valid choice compared to the competition?
What is the height of the whole thing when the stand is at its lowest setting?
How were the black levels and colors? Rtings sites the LG only having a measly 735:1 contrast ratio and the monitor's wide gamut means normal SRGB content will be oversaturated without a proper calibration...
i just ordered it , after to much Looking i decided for that monitor
Same here 🤣
Just got this monitor. What are some good picture settings?
Did you find any?I need some as well.
How to you show the frame rate in game?
PC centric what is the best game mode/what does each one do. Gamer 1 gamer 2 & so on. Thank you
Can you connect a speaker to the monitor?
This is fastest IPS panel right now and close to TN due to NanoIPS technology. Waiting for more monitors with it and better contrast ratio. 24-25" 1080p NanoIPS with very fast response time is what 1080p players wants. That LG is srsly really good for someone who like 1440p and can handle it. I'll buy it probably and first time test 1440p 27" and that really fast(for ips) response time. One bad think is 800~:1 contrast ratio, but it's depend on personal preference.
What are those lights in your room ?
what are those high end hdr displays?
I got mine today. What osd settings did the reviewer use in calibrating his settings. What are the best settings for it. I am on default settings
Thank you for reviewing this!
Please review the ASUS VG27AQ!
Asus Vg27aq have same quality that LG for the best price, have one and never regret it . So why pay more? It's up to u to decide...
One question: where do you get those awesome backgrounds in windows? ;p
Kind Old Raven wallpaper engine from steam
6:24 did you turn v-sync on the nvidia control panel? You should be getting 0 tearing. G-sync compatible requires V-sync ON just like true g-sync
This worth getting if you already have a 48lg cx?
Would this be suitable for consoles ?
Yes. I am using this monitor mainly for offline pc gaming because i have a great competitive online gaming monitor. I am playing on using this with my ps4 pro. My pc got a nvidia card in it And the ps4 pro and xb1 x got a amd card in it. This monitor can support g sync and free sync.
G sync are for navidia cards and free sync is for amd cards. Consoles. Will use this for the ps5 also.
It’s not actually “1ms” as it’s falsely advertised. After strenuous testing various reputable pc spec sites have concluded that the average ms response rate of the 27gl850 is actually 4ms :/
source?
How are you enjoying the G915?
Love it. Not sure it's worth £200 though!
@@PcCentric agreed, had to keep that part from the better half 😬
I need a monitor for my PS4, 2018 Apple Mac MIni + streaming movies. Is this monitor any good for my needs?
I am going to use this monitor for my pc nvidia card and for my ps4 pro amd card. Hdmi for the ps4 pro
I have the PG279Q. Is it worth to switch?
only 352k subs ? Underrated.
I have lg gp850 and around that black plastic are some small schratces is this normal, maybe from fabric
Does the monitor come with a display port cable
What were your previous screens?
I’m going to get this. I’m building a computer for the first time and finally decided on this monitor. But turns out even if I order it now it won’t come till Jan
What wallpaper is that on the screen at 7:38?
here: www.reddit.com/r/wallpaper/comments/ekxvfq/ultraviolet_4k_wallpaper_3840_x_2160/
do they do one in a 32" version? and if so what is the part number?
Not yet, but i'm sure they will
@@PcCentric Thanks for the really really quick response :)
pardon my question for being a bit dumb but i cant get enough answer anywhere.. what is the difference between the LG 27GL850 with LG 27GL850-B?
J SJ He didn’t add the B. It’s just a regional thing. It stands for black.
@@nSquared75 thanks for the info! :-)
I would love to have a 21 inch 1080p 240hz IPS panel. They unfortunately haven't made one yet.
because 21 inches is the size of like a phone screen
@@infernaltotorow not really sit close and it's like running a 4:3 monitor for competitive shooters.
have u noticed oversaturation of colors on this monitor? i'm considering purchasing the 27GL83A which is cheaper with identical specs except the 850 has a wider color gamut
Too bad you can never buy one as they're always sold out everywhere.
it's up at Best Buy right now for $450 I ordered one this morning
@@kafaya77 I live in Australia so that's not an option, the few places that do sell it here are continuously out of stock.

What do you think of the Samsung ultra wide CHG90 1080 for gaming or have you reviewed it? I know there is a 2k version but needs two 2080Ti’s to get top performance and that’s already putting a hole in the wallet. Could you review the 1080 and give your opinion. I’m looking to get that monitor, thanks.
I'm testing the crg9 next week. Not sure about the smaller one
I like your case 👍Is that 220T?
Sure, maybe I SHOULD buy this. Too bad LG points me to TWO websites to get and one is Best Buy and it is pickup only and the other still lists it as Pre-order. :(
One question about the Smarty ad. What is the average download speeds? I've fallen into this trap before where they offer unlimited data (or lots of it) only to have the speeds be throttled. *sigh*
Just ordered it, should be coming in tomorrow, will it work well with the new ps5 graphics wise?
Bad idea. It’s not even a 4K display! Lol
Josh Allison damn, what about ps4? It was the best monitor I could find for that price
GoGo Remakes PS4 doesn’t support 1440p res. And no one knows whether the PS5 will or not. But the point is you want to be running the PS5 on a 4K display to get the best out of it.
Does this run 120fps 1440p on PS5 on HDMI 2.0 ports?
Is it good for PS5 or just PC
H ini,I have purchased two monitors and would like some advice on which one to keep. They are both still boxed and I can only return if unopened but I'd really like to put them side to side and play them but obviously can't.So if you could give me your opinion I would be really grateful. The two monitors are the LG gl850 27"and the Samsung CJG52 32" I also have the new Xbox series s and a pc with a Asus GeForce GTX1070 ti What would be the best monitor to keep in your opinion?thanks
Does enabling 1ms in the settings turn hdr off?
Very well done video, backlights should be dimmed more so the monitor doesn't look so washed out & lessen glare spots.
Would a 1660 ti work for most new game titles?
Is the uk link the same as the GL850 from hardware unbox review?
Very nice review. Please also add how crisp the text looks on the monitor. As on TN panel the text looks bad.
How is $700 CAD Affordable?
$450 on bestbuy
What a fantastic review for novices like me brilliant well done Q
Im waiting for mines to be delivered😎
Got so happy when heared affordable price... 500 pounds, damn... One month salary :)
stop complaning bro, here in brazil its probably 5 months salary
But it's still cheaper than competitors like pg27vq
There is a cheaper version of this exact same monitor that is $330 US not sure what that is for you. But it's the same panel but cheaper cuz it has sRGB instead of the hdr. It's the same name scheme with like an A at the end or something like that.
We get ripped off for monitors in the UK. This shit is below $400 in the UK, granted that's before tax but that's ridiculous that we pay the higher number despite our currency being worth more.
