I sure miss them. The Phantogrom from 11 years ago was different from now! I bought their first 2 albums, and I still adore them. Eyelid movies.

And I also. I've tried over the years since to listen to their more current catalog and it's not the same. Sarah has also had to deal with her sister's suicide. I still love them and wish them well, but coming back here encapsulates their unique magic...Peace.

I feel you. I was obsessed with they're music. I still listen to Futuristic Casket repeat. But I do agree they're a much different sound than the first two albums.
This version is way better than their actual studio version in my opinion.. sounds awesome.

As a musician with a studio: There are 3 pieces. 1) The guitar, 2) The vocal duet and 3) The keyboard. When you listen just focus on these. It just comes together and if they are good looking they were already born that way (and so what) but the music is what they made and that's special because it took a lot of work to be. So much work and effort (and talent) into this and they made it happen, they made it be.
I love the way she's vibing/dancing to this jam. What an awesome band. They have several great songs.
I remember this one cruising on a bus to my first duty station back in 2012. I just had it on repeat, over and over. The way it synched with the freedom I first felt, and with the rolling hills and forests, will forever be etched in my mind. Memories, encapsulated. 💜
Oh man this version and those two just elevate me to another realm, floating and free and yet I'm fixated on how something like this is so beautiful.
I just discovered these guys tonight and i'm blown away! Been checking out their stuff for over an hour now! I'm more of a metal/rock person, but something about their music is captivating. It is soothing yet stirs something I can't explain.....I'm just going to go with it!

I discovered them probably about 3 yrs ago. I am a metal/rock guy to. Its something about there music. Freaking love them!! See them live! I did in DC.

I LOVE THIS SHIT, its good MUSIC, these guys come up with amazing bridges if you listen to most of their songs in all their albums the changes are dope!
She loops some riffs through the Kaoss Pad (that red thing by her left hand, some are pre-programmed and you just hit the sampler button when you want them to play). You can also set the pad to record loops of 2 beats, 4 beats, 8 beats, 16 beats, and it will record whatever you play for that measure, and when you hit the sampler on the pad it will play what you recorded during that measure. That's what she's doing during the chorus.
This is the reason why I love music so much. The energy from the song is infectious. My ears hurt from overplay, but in a good way. I have bought the last two albums and never would have known unless I had watched the Moog Lab session. Keep up this momentum guys. Phantogram forever. :)

Anything they put together is a gift to our ears. I can listen to old stuff and or new stuff and it sounds as if they were made the same day only years and years apart. I could listen to this group all day everyday and never get sick of it.

The two keyboards are layered but it sounds much better playing both rather than linking via midi. The korg R3 is toned down (it can be too bright/harsh and dominate) and the guitar takes over the lead and the synths follow. These two know how to do it, how it's done. I can only say keep with what you know, and make it all jive. Kudos!
