I'll never stop being sad that that lineman got tackled just before scoring on the kickoff.... I mean.... there is never going to be another 60+ yard kickoff return for a TD by a lineman.

Nate MacDonald OU had two freshman dbs playing in their first game all year, having to cover jamarr chase and Justin Jefferson, that game was all Jefferson no one else gtfo. Sooners literally had three suspended players too, lost their starting back to injury and third string running back to suspension. Look at the factors into that game guy, I knew that OU was gonna lose, but that blow out is glorified as all hell, they literally targeted the freshman dbs all game cuz it’s like taking candy from a baby when you two of the best receivers in college football. At least OU makes the playoffs, they’ve only missed one? Don’t talk bo nix fuck
@@DanRichter that didn't really read like a joke but ok LMAO. And even if it was, considering players HAVE gotten permanent eye damage from flags (look up Orlando Brown who missed multiple seasons after the same thing happened to him) it seems perfectly reasonable to assume that it wasn't a joke.
He was in the air when he made contact with the ball. The kicking team player needs to be planted when making contact and the ball will be spotted at the players position.
Marvin Harrison against the Broncos, Denver arguing who was to cover Harrison that they forgot he was not down, easy stand up and score. Great video still.
If anyone was curious the flag that got caught in the players eye ended his career he didn’t lose all his vision but it wasn’t enough for him to keep playing. Damn shame....
14:50 - Question: The receiver fumbles, steps out of bounds, then becomes the first player to touch the ball. Doesn't that make the play dead (with penalty applied) and Raiders should have kept the ball?
9:36 That. Is. Impossible. I've seen that done only one other time before EVER, on one of the most incredible plays I made on Playstation 1 NCAA Football 2000, back when the game was new. It was with one of my many created teams, War Tech Firesharks. The pass flew about 30 yards before the RB caught it. The RB was running, and the ball just slipped into his right arm, without turning to look. He was just running for the sake of running like Forrest Gump. After the catch, he ran an extra 40 yards and scored a TD. I had it recorded on VHS, but unfortunately I don't have that tape anymore. Damn. That tape had a lot of great stuff on it. Good memories though...

The Tulsa play is one of the most intelligent plays in football. Theres no drawback, even if he fumbles that return and the other team recovers, it still goes back to his team. Weird rule.
Right, the punting team 'downing' the ball by touching it first is actually illegal touching. The play isn't whistled dead until the ball is under control or out of bounds. Once the kicking team touches it first there is no risk of mishandling the ball by the receiving team. The one that got me was when the Packers Ty Montgomery got a kick ruled out of bounds. Per the rule, if a kick-off touches an out of bounds player, even if the ball is in bounds, the kickoff is considered to have gone out of bounds.
You should add the one where Kaelin Clay (Utah) ran the football into the end zone but dropped it prematurely a yard shy, and it was run all the way back for a touchdown. I'll never forget. XD
5:10 I dont know how many people truly understand how smart Tulsas Watts really was on this play. There was zero risk in doing what he did simply because he had rule knowledge!

Some good examples of why we play the game instead of simply going off of stats on a piece of paper - because crazy things can (and sometimes do!) happen.
Some of the craziest shit happens with Green Bay. Rodgers fumble recovered by Boykin for a TD. James Jones takes a shot loses helmet runs for a TD. Antonio Freeman with the luckiest bounce off a players back grabs it runs for a TD. Im a Raiders fan, shit happens against us. Immaculate Reception by Harris, Fumble by Ford on what wouldve been a go ahead TD against Chiefs, they return it for a TD.
