This confused me so much, then I remember the rule is the game can't end in a defensive penalty and I think that's kinda a rediculous error in judgement
9:10 Not sure the Fantasy Football points for that play but you know someone was like "if only Mariota could throw the ball to himself for a TD, I might beat Gary this week." Mariota: "I gotchu, fam."
I think this is probably the worst play ever conceived for the football field. 😂 Everyone involved in this play, from the guy who drew it up to the ones who executed it, is an idiot. Even the players not involved are guilty. They should have done something to stop it, staged a mutiny or something, but they just went along with it. Lambs to the slaughter.😵
5:35 - That Gurley run - SAVVY MOVE - Gurley converted a third down late in the game, and after breaking free, he chose not to score to run more time off the clock and force Detroit to take timeouts. It proved a good move because Gurley ran for a 2-yard score with 1:54 left and the Lions were left with no timeouts on their final drive. That ended with Troy Hill intercepting a pass in the end zone with 12 seconds left. "I wanted to waste some time," Gurley said.
5:29 Rule: if an offensive player goes out of bounds he can't be the first one to touch the ball so you go from 11 players to 10 players on the field. This should be the same, if a kick returner goes out of bounds he can't be the first player to touch the ball. So it's a re-kick.
The colts 4th down snap has been explained. The playbook said to snap it if someone got under center, one of the coaches told the QB to try drawing the defense offsides and the QB got under center to do that. Just a miscommunication because one guy was going by the playbook and another listened to a coach about what to do.
The one where the Rams player is running to make a touchdown, but instead goes off track to showboat a little only to get tackled. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! C'MON MAN! SCORE THE TOUCHDOWN, THEN SHOWBOAT!
It wasn't touched before it came back out. So it was still live. He then got out of bounds before touching it, making it a penalty on the kicking team, giving the receiving team the ball on their own 40 yard line or 25 yards in from the kickoff spot if it changes from the 35 yard line
Someone please explain to me how the *Gurley* play @5:45 mark is an "unselfish" play instead of a total bonehead play! Why would he not run it in for a touchdown?
They were trying to run the clock down as much as possible as there was a little over 2 minutes left and the opposing team would only be down by 2 touchdowns. It may seem like a sizeable lead especially with only 2 minutes left. But that’s more than enough time to pull a miracle out of your ass.
Dude how was that catch from Julio Jones out of bounds? Can someone explain? Are they saying he didn’t have control before his hand touched the ground out of bounds or something? He got both feet in
They have to possess the ball, especially in a touch back scenario. That's why you see players tap or throw it back into the field of play if their momentum is carrying them into the endzone, the only time you see them end the play on a touch is if the ball comes to a complete stop with no receiving team near it
Rams lions game where Gurley didn't run it in was ridiculously dumb. Lions had a timeout and the 2 minute warning on their side. So he should have just ran the damn ball in and went up comfortably 2 scores. Unless of course it's rigged and the games total went under because he didn't score
I'm kinda disappointed bc there was one play that I think should've made it into this video. in the play the quarterback threw the ball to the receiver and the receiver caught the ball and ran to the end zone but didn't go in bc there were two guys waiting for him. He threw the ball up into the air right before he went in, got clear of the guys, and caught the ball for the touchdown. I don't remember which teams were playing each other or what year it was (this was a while back) but I do remember being astounded that he did that.
Really, these lists are totally ramdom. Left out a lot of big time history changing plays like the immaculate reception. It's one of the most famous plays in football history but not here?
I have zero idea how that Koch safety didn't end up in major fighting knowing they got done in by garbage rules. Also the announcers can call Gurley's play unselfish but that was a boneheaded play as it didn't end the game with him falling short. Getting the td there basically seals it but by going short he potentially gave the defense 3 shots at a turnover...

That last one was pretty slick. The "punt returner" faked out 1/2 of the other team.

5:21 that was the ultimate situational awareness.
5:29 Rule: if an offensive player goes out of bounds he can't be the first one to touch the ball so you go from 11 players to 10 players on the field.
This should be the same, if a kick returner goes out of bounds he can't be the first player to touch the ball. So it's a re-kick.

The touchdown by the Cleveland Browns was from the NFL on CBS.
7:46 that was not Jackson’s fault it was thrown way too low

It’s basically fumble rules. If you are out of bounds the ball is therefore out of bounds.
