Thank you for having me on the podcast, Steve! You're a true professional who walks the walk in Natural Bodybuilding. Your extensive experience and knowledge, combined with years of featuring elite experts on your channel, enrich every discussion, whether it’s about training or diet. There’s never a dull moment with you, and as a long time supporter, it was an honor to chat. I’d love to do it again, focusing more on programming related topics. Cheers to the long game, and I hope the viewers gained valuable insights into what it takes to fulfill their potential and connected with our lifting journeys.
Alex, your competiton diet was truly unconventional. How much overall protein did you get from it on a daily basis? Thank you. EDIT: Ahh you mentioned it in the podcast. 120 g. Alright.
Thank you so much for the kind words! It was an absolute pleasure having you on the podcast, and I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the experience. Your insights and passion for natural bodybuilding truly resonate, and it was great to dive deep into the topics that matter most to us both. I’d be more than happy to have you back on to focus on programming-there’s so much more we can explore together. Cheers to the long game indeed, and I’m sure our listeners took away a lot of valuable insights from our conversation. Looking forward to the next one! - Steve
early as hell and just wanted to comment my appreciation for Steve bringing these og natty youtubers. We had GVS a while back and now Alex, that is super cool to see. Hope you keep going with that periodically, excited to listen in
Man I now have so much respect for competing body builders, natty or not. You have got the mental strength to train hard and eat clean. Then basically starve yourselves to near death whilst continuing training. Practicing poses that often lead to painful cramping🙀 Then on the day of the competition you walk on stage with 0 energy and have to look your best while feeling your worst. Crazy mf’ers💪💪
There's a huge variance in what foods an individual tolerates well. As a protein source i still think going ham on legume sources will leave relatively large percentages of people a bloated and gassy mess. Unless for ethical reasons i would never go that route.
@@TheNietzschian It's not only about the amount of fibre though. Legumes, nightshades and cruciferous vegetables will cause issues in a lot of people when consumed in large quantities, regardless of fibre content.
@@TheNietzschian Sure, tell that to the GI tract of countless of millions people around the globe. Most people don't go around eating raw beans, onions, garlic, cabbage and whatever. Still tons of issues.
2500 cals on a cut for a natty is wild! I wish! Haha that’s like my 15% bf maintenance. Twice a day cardio is rough tho… most would just cut another 250-500 cals off.
