Got my 2nd guitar ever at the one near my area. Ended up selling it back years later to a kid at the same store who i heard playing "eruption." Very sad time to have this place gone. Thank you guys for trekking there to share this with all of us. ❤🤘🤘🤘
Not my first guitar, my dad gave me that, but my 2nd which I bought with my first job when I was 16 years old in 1996. Not a big box store either, but a music shop which was legendary in Lincoln, UK called St Martins Music. They closed about 10 years ago and it was such a shame! Well, it was a white Squier Strat with a rosewood fretboard. Almost the same as the Strat in Waynes World! (Loving the cap Steph!) Fantastic guitar! I used it on almost all of our first bands demos. It's such a shame music stores are closing, there might now be a whole generation of potential musicians who miss out on the opportunity to learn an instrument. Thanks for the video guys and as always, take care! Robin
Physical music stores are now a thing of the past. Online shopping has destroyed the experience. When I was a teen, hanging out at Record Stores and Music Stores in the morning, and Arcades in the afternoon were the norm. This sucks!
My first electric was a Les Paul copy with a scalloped fretboard that I bought from a friend. My first amp was a Marshall lead 12 that I bought from a local music shop in town. 1986.
We only came out to SamAsh for big purchases our local store didn't have. Spent a lot of time at the local place we had as a teen, and it just closed this past December.:/
I love this channel. Not only because of the Iron Maiden passion within but also because of the deep American accent (are you guys chewing gum as you talk? 😉) I love the Eddies that the young lady makes. I wish you all the very best! Maybe you can get some cheap deals at that store closing down? Greetings from the number one Maiden Maníac in Lisboa. Next time you come to Europe, visit Portugal and Steve Harris's Bar (Eddies Bar) in Santa Bárbara de Nexe (Loulé), Algarve. Scream for me Portugal!!! Scream for me Portugal!! Saaaanctuuuaaaryyyy!! Ruuun to the Hills! 🤘🇵🇹
Took drum lessons back in the 80's as a kid at a place here in York, PA called Menchey. Still there and thriving apparently. I'm 51 now and am glad I no longer have to load all that crap into a van, lol
This makes me so sad, I used to go to Sam ash in Raleigh, NC, with my wife and we would jam in the acoustic room to be left alone. I bought my esp explorer there(I was originally gonna get the esp viper but when i tried it out it was so heavy i was like whoa and i wanted the explorer too(to get my james hetfield on)and when i played that and it was so light and felt good i got it instead. Also got some drum equip. Sticks, cymbals, heads etc. I would play in the drum room and jam too(once I play a really aggressive song and the man told me I needed to chill out and said "you are gonna have a heart attack!" Haha I played in bands for years and my own punk band for over 12 years. Thanks for this, even if sad I had many good times and those memories remain 😎👌👏 snarling dog picks, Dunlop Amp was a Peavy head, carvin speakers in a cabinet I built at my job(I was a wood worker for 13 years)2x12. I moss trying out the new stuff you would read about in sale mags or guitar magazine etc. Also bought my first tascam 4 track there(blue)and recorded alot of good demos on there(it would be easy to show the band my vision as I play bass, guitar and drums and do vocals as well)I remember playing bass in jazz band and thought it was could cuz they wanted you to use your fingers and I was like that's awesome cuz Steve Harris and geddy lee use their fingers(I also played with a pick)one time when we played in the auditorium for the school I got a bass solo and stuck in part of "anesthesia" and they didn't know what it was(some probably did)and the principle sent me a message saying he enjoyed it 😎🤘 man, also I grew up in Florida(miami)and that's when I started playing music and in bands around 92' such a grest time to be alive with the 80's still kicking and the 90's grunge there too. Such a magical time.
I forgot you guys lived in Orlando as well. Its so sad to see sam ash go. I used to go there all the time to play music when i was fighting a bout of depression. Gonna miss that place

Another sad moment!
Big brick and mortar places are disappearing right before our eyes! 😢

How about your depression now? Its gone, i hope 🙄
Lets see your precision, Steph!
No slam dunk deals but some nice nostalgia for you guys.
Everyone's 'places' are closing.
Привет Капитан, ты играла на басу? А есть видео?
This store in the first half of the video was a MARS Music before Sam Ash took it over. I don't know about the second one.
Do you guys play any instruments? I didn’t watch the whole video yet btw.
Играют и поют 🎸🎤🥁🧡
Pity is no drums in review 😢
Well, a lot of brick and mortar are closing down, sad Sam Ash had to go, hopefully they will continue with the online business
Leave music stores alone
But why😢
