Nice video 👍 you can get R6FG 6 Channels receivers even cheaper and they work with that radio. That’s what I’ve been running with no issues it’s less range but for general bashing, they work great.
It's insane that the receivers are as cheap as they are. I never got use to spending $70 (CDN) for a new receiver everything I got a new car. Thanks for checking for out the video.
Great breakdown of the radio Bro. This is my go-to/main radio. I have the telemetry setup on my crawlers and it's awesome 👌. I'm barely scratching the surface with all its features 😂 and there are a ton of them. Customization for days LoL 🤣.
I know, it's crazy. You get it set up the way you like it. And then you start flipping through the menu and there are so many features and options to use.
Very much looking forward to trying one of these out myself , my wife and daughter are getting me one for my birthday/ Father’s Day . Thanks for all the advice buddy , great video . Love the theme you gave it also looks great . Stay awesome Jason , Chris 🤙🤘💪🚀👊
It's such a nice radio. Congrats on the purchase. The first day I got it, I took it upstairs that night and just configured everything while I was watching TV. It was a fun way of learning the radio. :)
I remember when I bought my first remote. I had the ones that came with the cars back in 2000. They still had crystals back then. I had to have a few sets of frequency crystals for each car and remote. I got tired of that so I went and paid $250 ( back in 2000) and that was exspensive back then. It was a JR crystal less remote with a generic digital display. But look at these new remotes. I've been out of the r/c game for a while. 20 years idle lol. Kids are gone and its time to play. I have a Bandit, and 2/ 1/8 Sportwerks Mayhems. 1 nitro and the other I am converting to brushless. And my wife has a old Tamiya 1/10 road car with a Honda looking van body. It's actually pretty fast lol. But the first new one I buy will be a Typhon. I will prob start with the 3s version and then upgrade it as I go. My wife wants a green Sledge 6s.
Its a cool radio Jason! A little pricey for my taste. I can't imagine handing this over to my 4yr old 🤣 The other radio link radio would be better for me purley on price. This looks like a way better choice compared to a Futaba or Spektrum higer end radio 👍
Thanks Aaron. I new I was going to be replacing my 7PX with something. I had initially thought it was going to be the DX5 Pro. Until I saw this. And used the RC6GS.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs Ok, that's cool. I usually disable AVC on the throttle & just use steering AVC on my DX5 Pro. I just hate the price tag on the Spektrum AVC receivers. Thanks.
Nice overview\setup video Jason, I have one of these radios got it on sale in July of this year for $255 on Amazon although i heard some people had a few issues with the RC8X my personal issue with it is the range but i might be getting interference from wifi signals in my neighborhood but who knows what the real issue is. I hope they fix the range and other issues with firmware updates i hope to continue using my RC8X on most of my personal cars for years to come.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs you should check it out, it might just change your mind on how affordable all these transmitters and receivers can be. And the range! THE RANGE!
Hey there..have u encountered any issue with rc8x yet?? Bcause ive read some comments on the utube said it oftens loosing signal and kinda over steer and some point?

I have one coming this weekend. Replacing my dx5c in 10 vehicles. Can’t wait to play with the settings. Also the fpv will be cool in my scx6.

I'm curious how the gyro works compared to the Spektrum AVC. Looking forward to more info. Salute!
The gyro is only for steering. Where AVC is both steering and throttle. However, having features like "throttle delay" would compensate for that.

I am going to pull the trigger on this one after watching your video mate 👌🏼

hey! have you checked out the Radiomaster MT12? I jusr pre-ordered it. i cant wait to hear your thoughts on it.
No not yet. I'll be stocking with the RC8X and the RC6GS V3 for a while now.

Way better remote then the junk rc8x
Just purchased one. How do i charge the lipo battery it came with?
Can you do a video of setting up the gyro to work with a rc car plz
Where in settings do you shut off that annoying voice from the radio? I have the same radio. Thanks.

Hello my friend, is there a fail safe system?
Certainly looks like it'd crap all over any of Spektrum's offerings, and I don't even own one!
