    Appreciate the RC8X content! I have been searching for where to play with the throttle curve and am right there with you feeling like an old guy who is bad at tech with this thing. As a techy it is humbling. I watched another guy drive around his neighborhood and do some laps around his local school...from his couch using all the fpv gadgets this thing can do!

    Great video as usual, I've had mine for about a yr or so an I've lost signal a few times. I also noticed the singnal bars drop really quickly, other than that I love it.

    What I do with my to save battery power is shut the screen off while running. Just put in the dial knob at the front right. Very nice feature and just hit it again to turn it back on

      @CapeCrawlers it's should already be there, mine was and I meant to say just push in on that knob. Give it a try 😉

    Can you change the throttle curve on the furitek transmitter on the fly?

    the only complaint I have with this radio is how the included lipo needs a foam insert to not rattle around. other than that, the massive amount of settings means I can set it up to run micro crawlers, brushless bashers and drag racers with radically different control needs.

      Its versatility is amazing!

    Thank you so much for excellent review. Initially, I was going to get the Futaba transmitter, but the $700 was just little to much. So I just ordered this transmitter, question I have is in reference to the battery. Can I charge the Lipo through the USBC cable? Or do I need to invest in a separate charger, I'm just starting in this hobby.

      I have the same question.😊

      No it won’t charge thru usb but it will charge your phone thru it! Kind of a smack in the face. How much would it have taken to do both. Maybe in a future firmware upgrade?

    Im new to rc. Just a few months in and all are stock. Motor in my scx24 went poof. Got the injora 55 t 050 with transmission. Whats the 55 turn mean compared to the little 88 turn original motor.

      Any help would be greatly appreciated

      Lower turn motors will produce more power and be faster. So a 55t will be considerably more powerful than the stock 88t.

    Great video as always. I love the explanation of the settings, especially for the winch. Going to be helpful on my Vanquish & SCX6. I just ordered mine on Amazon, amazing deal right now for anyone looking for one. Currently $255.67 with a bundle kit! BTW any recommendation on the larger lipo battery for the RC8X?

    Can you define different positions for a servo? For example: 1.P+98, 2.P+45, 3.P+4, 4P.-25...

    I just got this radio for 200 canadian$. It's a very light radio. I will put it in my trx4 and my scx24. Love your video's.

    That thing is supposed to be 4s capable, so if you upgrade it will go a lot faster.

    Still wanna see a video, how you used your dig in your 10 3 as a 2 speed than the option that is already given. Lol Still having a hard time, comprehending on how you did that. Lol

      Next time I get into the transmission I'll do that. It was tricky. That transmission is super complicated!

      Don’t u just remove a spacer that’s locking it out and add a servo???

    I love my RC8X so far. Easy to navigate and understand whats what. I originally bought the RC6GS and it was like trying to read Chinese or Greek! Damn near impossible to figure out. So I gave it to a friend for Xmas!🤣😂😉🤷🏼‍♂️ Let him deal with it! And bought the RC8X. I now have every rig on it. Just recently added my new Capra build to it and I’m gonna start messing with the 4WS functions….cant wait to get into it deeper.

    WOW! $320 for it. Thats all well and good but out of the relm price wist fo most. Yes big radios do rock and im sure it has modle memory, but a. Flysky GT 5 will take care of any crawler. Plus it has 20 modle memory. Rx is cheaper than that radio.90% of the bells and whistles will never be used. Spend $80 on a GT 5 and the rest on receivers and you way ahead of the game.
    No offence intended.

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  Год назад +1

      None taken! I have both and I always benchmark radios against the GT5 because its a powerhouse. The best bang for the buck radio in my opinion.

    • @Toodles77
      @Toodles77 5 месяцев назад

      Gt5 has issues with steering wearing out and getting very glitchy. Almost like a 7 position servo! But I have to agree it’s best bang for the buck, especially if ya need 4WS. But I’m extremely happy with my RC8X. The features are endless. And the touch screen makes it super easy to navigate even for a noob. To top it off, it has 200 model memory with all their settings and features. If u can afford it, I’d say buy it before the GT5. If you’re on a budget the GT5 is a fantastic radio.
