There are metal links. Metal axle housings, metal driveshafts, brass portals, full bearing kit, metal servo mount and steering linkage and portal OD gears all available, have all those installed on mine.
So now anyone with cr18p axles can get these axles shafts. Now being drilled to 1.5mm pins. Thats where the driveline swap in the older models comes from. Glad to see they listened to the audience on this one
Also the rig has a transmission with multiple gears vs your simpler scx24 style trans. Gears need proper mesh to be smooth which means you’ll need play between every gear. The more gear you have = more play/slop and there’s no avoiding that 👍
@RCfanAddict I have the Evo pro and it has so much slop that it's my least favorite rig to drive so it just sits there looking good... 😢 I like to dive very technical terrain and the slop just takes the fun outta it. I wish they would address the issue, because if they did I'd definitely be making another purchase.
@mylesbahri6987 If you notice with stock plastic hexes will snap onto the pins and stay on by themselves but when you install aftermarket hexes they slide on and off easily which those tolerances just created slop
@AirGunner-ou1co Bottom links on skid hang below it and even worse with aftermarket links. This model has angled skid with straight links and it's capability are at its max outta the box.
I have one on back order, I wonder if this is the version I’ll end up with. I like hobbywing over furitek just because I find it easier to use and less problematic
No absolutely not. The motor hasn’t changed and it’s completely trash, so is the servo. You’d be much better off with a Redcat ascent18 or one of these puppies. At least you’ll have something that doesn’t need upgrading out of the box

Awesome video! Got me wanting to order one myself!
Cool to see the little man having a blast with you too!
The cr18p platform is good. But the lack of aftermarket is a killer. It sucks to not have metal links or driveshafts
There's rcawd metal links
RCAWD has all kinds of hop ups for the CR18P. Also FMS uses alot of the same parts, so there's another source.

Nice 👍 @@dougnicholson8325
I have metal driveshafts on mine lmao

I just purchased the red & black rig...love the FREE shipping. VERY capable rig. Thanx for the vid...
I like everything about it but the body clips , but I want one 😊
I agree, clips are annoying and outdated when there's better options out there like magnets and (sometimes) velcro
@TakuroSpirit77 yes Velcro works good on a lightweight lexan body
Will you be doing a video on how to get rid of the slop in the drivetrain??
@mylesbahri6987 There's no way to. Every set of gears and pins you have you will get slop. You can shim some of it but there will always be some

I still think the brushed Evo Pro is a better deal if you can scope it up on sale for sub $100.
They went with Hobbywing because Furitek quality is too inconsistent
I just ordered the brushed version 2 days ago gets here friday 😅 do yall think i should return it and drop extra $20 on this juiced up version ?
It’s worth it to step up to this one
I wouldn't buy either imo
$20 more for a brushless setup. Hell yeah I would
@@RCfanAddict Very edgy of you but do you care to explain why?

Hi i am looking to buy a scx24 i was looking at the gladiator but now i can buy a c10 for $90 with a few upgrades is it worth it

Capable truck for sure, dont realy like the rims though, they look cheap.
I’d argue that anybody that buys a performance rig like this is going to change wheels/tires almost immediately.
First
thanks for great videos
