Because we’re in the era of “the nice ones”. All the hemis, copos, and shelbys found sitting in barns, fields, sides of the road, rivers, and ponds have been gone for decades. Now we’re seeing the family forever cars, sitting in a/c cars, one owner babied cars, put away for decades.
the current owner bought it from my ex-boss (from Michigan), who in turn bought it from a gentleman from Illinois in 2013, so the barn find was actually credited to gentleman in Illinois that purchased it from original texas family back in 2009. the gentleman in illinois also once owned the one of one 1967 GT500 Super snake.
As a young man in the 70's, these cars were a dime a dozen. So were Novas, Malibus, Firebirds, AR Cuda's, karma ghias, Corvairs, Camaros. 66-70 were the best years, it went to hell after that...

The intake valves on these 69 Boss 302's were bigger than a L78 BBC......lol
2.230" vs 2.190". .... hence the reasoning behind the 5:13 gears.
Even the Trans Am racers went to the smaller 2.190s and they ran them at 7000 rpm with little loss of top end.
Would be a fun car to take down the drag strip for sure.
They made tons of these cars. Everything is rare today lol. Make sure you get the VIN # correct you wouldn't want to miss one lol
