- What's the deal with Console wars? I get that its been around for forever, but console warring all day is weird. Here are my thoughts on the topic.

Very good points. If anything, I'm happy with the variety we get, and I get to play with some friends' consoles I don't own when we meet. There is absolutely no reason for war (of any kind). Awesome channel keep it up!
I'm 34, too. Remember being given the first sega and nintendo as a cousin got a ps1. Go to school, and kids would be arguing over nintendo and sega. Even back then, I was like they are both good get over it. Still happening to this day 😂
I always say people come before things. I don’t disrespect others based on petty disagreements and I resent that it’s such a thing in the gaming community. I have a mild preference but I play on everything. I think some people just care more about brands than the hobby itself…
100% Agreed! Look you can have a preferred console but if your going to champion one console without acknowledging the issues with the other…then that’s a problem

The console war has been going on since the early 90's, which means that some gamers have literally had the same debate at 6 years old and 41 years old...
Console warriors make tiktokers look and sound like geniuses.
I've never understood console wars. I've owned an N64 and PS1 at the same time, and a 360, PS3, and Wii at the same time.
Yeah I always get the new PS when it calms out, but I like to get a second console when I have the time and money to do so.

bro that "i'm a grown ass man, i'm better than all this" headass notion is so DUMB, respectfully. Like there's grown adults rooting for their fav team, fav wrestler, fav player, etc. Imagine how shit would be if the crowd didn't have their favs lmao nobody would show up. companies would flop. Console wars pushes a company to do better. competition is in all aspects of human life.
consolewars are fun and it makes me feel better about myself when a flop on a console happens because I feel like I outsmarted them by not consuming and wasted money

It's in people's heads
Without console wars, companies stop trying. Look how Sony stopped releasing great games as X-box started to sell many consoles, and as their gamepass staggered.
Console wars aren't weird. It's like sports teams, politics, etc, people naturally tend towards tribalism and like having a banner to wave.
It's really not that complicated, even if console-warring specifically is a bit silly nowadays when the options all just such to various degrees, pc included.
Mind, I'm not immune to this. I'll wholeheartedly back pc and nintendo as the least bad options, xbox is a worse pc that keeps releasing the same console over and over, and PlayStation hasn't been worth the plastic case since number 3.
@@tidalgrunt My preference of games, I'd find mostly on Playstation but don't feel like supporting them due to their company practices. And I get that this only hurts myself but guess it's a silent protest.
@BourkiaLawrence Which playstation? There's only like, 15 exclusives on the 5, and anything on the three and back can probably be gotten without a dime going to them.
Well im nintendo switch and xbox guy my self i have so many memories with 360 but i will always give sony a chance and i play on ps4 on my friends house and its perfoming the same as my one x or switch so im open minded to everything:)

Advice:
Avoid the Series S subreddit. As it is actually just a place for Xbox fanboys/Series X folks to scream ITS ALL YOUR FAULT. It’s awfully toxic.
The Series S is a steal. Go with PS5 if you want to upgrade. But also go with Switch if you don’t have that yet either maybe. Or get an X but don’t be hater if you do plz as it’s totally reasonable to go S then PS5 I feel and sorry (not really) we don’t share your Xbox love!
And lastly, don’t feel like you have to buy any of these to prove anything.

I have all of them, well PC for Xbox games. I just find the whole concept of console wars to be silly.
Modern console wars shouldn't even exist in the first place. There's so many toxic fanboys of both Sony and Microsoft, and they get very worked up on things. They cry and complain on Twitter all the time, and harass and post death threats. They don't deserve to call themselves gamers and fans of consoles they're playing.

I don’t refuse to play on Xbox, they just refuse to cater to me.
Don't take it personally, they do it to literally everyone.
Console Wars fuel competition, Competition is GOOD. Yes there are extremes that are stupid on both sides but outside of that ANYTHING that makes Microsoft and Sony compete harder is good for us. If console wars help (And they do) then so be it. Just don't cross common sense lines and do unethical/ illegal shit in the process.
