All the grand swordmanship shown in movies is a lie. Historically, there were no expert skills, it was just a butchery. It was more a matter of strike first. All the slides, parry and counter is fiction, human ability is quite limited. Samurais were cowards cruel rascals not grand characters as portrayed in movies there were no extra ordinary skill. Just butchery.
