Every time I hear this I'm brought back to cold winter days, starting somewhere new with no idea what's coming next. Filled with a fair dose of fear, but a strange amount of peace too. Thank you.
This song, even with no lyrics, is such a tearjerker for me because of the juxtaposition of the character to the sound. This song is so gentle and warm next to the character that is repeatedly told that he is destine for destruction and a representation of hatred by those who see very little past his exterior.
That final tone, and silence. All I can see is the gem in Mikoto's sword going out, and the entire thing finally dropping. Jerks a tear almost every time. Stupid Mikoto.

Returning in 2024, its crazy to see that Juice Wrld actually sampled this back in 2020-2021 and I didnt learn until now. Im a fan too I've listened to his albums, wasn't big on leaks like that though. I heard he had a huge vault of songs. He was def gonna be top 3 ever. RIP Juice man

Suoh Mikoto will always be my Red King. I love this anime a lot, I was sobbing like a kid when Mikoto died.
