Thank you for taking the time to review our movie. I was one of the producers on the film and first producer attached to the film. One fun fact is that after they cross the river in a scene we called the shrimp boat scene. Zak offers his hand to Tyler who is laying on the edge of the water and says “that will be an interesting story to tell” he then takes off walking down the trail this leading for the first time in the movie and he leads through the rest of the movie. It’s one of the best projects I have been involved with and we have a few more projects we are working on for Zack. Hopefully, we will be able to raise the money and shoot them next year! Keep up the hard work.
I was so excited to see this when it came out, and I wasn't disappointed! The baptism scene was very explicit, but the literary devices you discuss open up a whole new interpretation to the film that I never even thought of. Thank you for making me think!
Appreciate this video. I am often telling people this a significant and important piece of art, not just a sentimental feel good piece of entertainment.
Way to go! People need to know how much more this movie is than a “feel good flick…” this movie will make you cry before it ever makes you feel good. The cast is amazing and the subtle story arcs are very meaningful.
I would LOVE to know more of your takes on Eleanor specifically. I am so intrigued by her own journey as a widow and her own story of loss of family like Tyler and Zak.
Wow, thank you so much for this. I don't know how I stumbled upon your channel or explanation of this movie but it is truly amazing. This movie has become one of my favorites since I saw it last year. I am a Special Education teacher and it has to be by far the most heartwarming movie. The way that Zak is accepted by Tyler regardless of his disability was such a beautiful thing to see and witness. I believe this is with the Lord as well... regardless of all of our sin, he accepts us and loves us. We didn't have to become "good" or "normal" before He died for us. He did it on his own. So thankful for your interpretation.
I thought it was really interesting they symbolism of environment. How they went from land, out to the water (experienced) baptisms, and then came back to land to face their foe/weakness. It reminds me of Jesus’ baptism, the wilderness, and facing Satan.
Hey Brother I thought this was excellent. In a couple of days, I am doing a movie night for a Christian Union on this film. I was thinking about basing the discussion around how each character is broken but healed in a loving forgiving relationship. I want to point out the beauty of that in the film but then the dissonance in our real lives (for instance society we abort Downs Syndrome babies not love them). This was sharpening for my thinking. Thank you, would love more. I think my mind is more theological then arty so this is very helpful!!

As someone who knows the area well, it could literally be based on real people and a real adventure.

Hmmm. I just watched this movie and I’m pretty sure the wrestling school is still in North Carolina. Interesting video regardless.
Florida is where they were running to for a new fishing boat business that Tyler wants to start.
Do more movie analysis 👏
