    I love sitting in my shack listening to the rain. Mine’s a metal roof, not sure if that makes a difference. Probably less drum like.

    Maybe porcelain slabs for the worktops? Much cheaper than engineered stone and slabs can be up to 120cm long, so not too many joins.

    Have you considered covers for the openings? I built a 3x10m lean-to structure during covid and installed transparent covers in each bay. I use the back all year round and put on bbq's most weekends.

      I have considered them on the open side but not sure about the front. I'm sure they would be handy... Especially in our weather!

    Did you fit you posts to the paving slabs? Or are you relying on the weight to hold the shack down? Great series of videos. Really enjoyed and inspired to build my own later this year whilst blatantly ripping off your design 😂

      no the posts are concreted about 2 feet into the ground on the front corners then the rest is braced to the fence and retaining sleepers which are all concreted too. We get a lot of wind so if we didn't make sure it was well built - it would end up in the neighbours garden

    Do your utensils get rusty when you leave them out? Or do you put them away during the winter?
    cheers

    Hi, are the sockets you have IP/outdoor rated or are standard sockets? Im planning on building my own shelter and want to include some.

    Corian for the work top?

      Concrete could be another option. I used it for a table top in my garden. Only downside is the weight if you want to move it around.

    Big tiles (600x300) over the osb?

    • @Barbechoo
      @Barbechoo  6 месяцев назад

      Yea I've considered it. I'm not 100% set on keeping that table but if I finalise my plans then tiles mights be a good option
