Its interesting how they go so late with studying. A lot of students here in the U.S will have clubs until 5-7pm, and sometimes later for certain sports. No, there are some Arts high schools in South Korea, and many of the K-pop idols and trainees are from there. Those schools have more lenient school rules and code of conducts since they are literally meant for Arts. Even just normal high schools could let them graduate if they are excused. The video is somewhat exaggerated and reflected Korean high schools about a decade ago. Like 10-15 years ago, it was mandatory for high schoolers to stay at school until 10 PM for self-studying after class, but it was legally abolished and became optional. Still many of the high schoolers in Korea get back to home late after having private tutoring or outside school activities though
From what I know after watching YG survival show, trainees who still on school, can have a shorter school time (please cmiiw). So after midday, they can finish their school early, then, go to training center. Sometimes you can also found trainees who decided to drop out from their school for focusing into their training lessons (actually, this is most happen to trainees from abroad, like Japan). At the end, it's always depend on the agency, cause each agency have their own policy. This I just knowing a bit from YG Ent. Pleaseeee correct me if i'm wrong, and sorry for my bad English

No, u only go home at 10 if u do 'night study', called YaJa. Or if u send your kid to Hakwon(an after school study program). But typically, no, the students can go home way before 10pm by choice. But I wouldn't recommend raising your kid in Korea if your kid can't handle the academic stress. It's going to be hard. Korea is great, but living there as a hs student is pure blood sweat and tears.

I'm thinking about K-pop trainees/idols that are still in high school, do they also live in the schools they are in??
