I got stuck on making property line and searched on youtube with my query and found ur video which is so informative bcaz i m not an engineer but due to my interest in drafting i started to get knowledge but i just felt why i didnt found ur channel early when i started to learn revit 6month ago, its really amazing now i have to means have to go through all ur videos to get amazing tricks.thanks @Mike Taylor
Well done sir...perfect ..And thanku for making coming video i.e curved property line which is requested by me ....thanku v much and God bless u ...plz keep making knowledgeable video like this..
@mike taylor, I cant find any videos of you teaching on PROFILEs...I need to make a concrete gutter using the beam as support on one side. amazing vids by the way
Each bearing is either 90 East or West of North..... or it is 90 East or West of South. With all those options, you can point your Property Line in any direction you need. Since 90 plus 90 equals 180 x 2 is 360 degrees. I hope this helps.
So I have a question. I want to know if I can create a parameter for property lines that are too small, and rather use a symbol like "LS1" instead of having the entire description and then have a table/schedule describing all of the LSs bearings and distances.
I guess I should've specified I created a new parameter in the project called "Property Segment" and made it a Text Parameter so I can input a text value in the schedule like LS1 for Line Segment 1. The reason I am doing this is so my Property Line Schedule has three columns 1. Property Segment 2. Bearing 3. Distance Correlating to the site small and cramped geometries, with the purpose of not having so much information. I want to be able to tag by category those property lines and display LS1, LS2, LS3 etc instead of all the bearings information.
Those sound like great ideas. The Property Tag that ships with Revit (under Civil items) is generic. You can edit it any way you want to. Adding parameters that suit your needs is a perfect example!
Oh.. I see.. well, the schedule for a true Revit Property Line can only ‘report’ what is in the model. You will need to actually change the Property Lines themselves… or use the property line creation schedule.
@@miketaylor8211 thank you mike! you are such a blessing. Not only do you explain revit stuff clearly and informatively..i also enjoy your energy. never stop sharing.

You are welcome! And I will work on the CURVED Property Lines video and get it posted soon!
Love the content of the video and the vibe, it makes the video a lot more interesting.
Hi mike Can you please create a video on grid lines?
@mike..Do you think you could make a Training video about making DENTILS automated in moulding? instead of pasting dentils one by one.
This is so an informative video✨ I've learn alot sir, thanks! More videos to come.
great tutorial as always....thanks!
My pleasure!
Thank you sir

Your videos are fantastic. I am learning a lot. Thank you so much!
How can I change the distance and bearing when they appear up side down?
Awesome sir.
life saver
I found this to be a great video but my tag is readable from left instead of right on the vertical ones
As long as the right information is there... you should be good. :)
Hello? May I ask, how about when the bearing is higer that 90 deg? I got an error saying, "Please enter 0-90"

@mike taylor is there a command in revit that produces lot description schedule?
You believe you can create a schedule of the property lines. Is that what you mean?
@@miketaylor8211 So that it can be edited from a table/schedule.
