When I bought my WS I had no idea it could be used as a mega drum machine! Something I haven't seen touched on is all this craziness can be done on all 4 layers simultaneously so the capabilities of beat making on here are quite unique. Very cool!
I found it something difficult to follow the LED screen but with a little patience I got to close results. Some of your viewers complain as if they had paid for it, but actually this is a great tutorial, undoubtly one of the most useful around. You turned the Wavestate into a modular system! Congratulations and greetings from Argentina!
Well done and useful tutorial. Excited to try this when my Wavestate arrives next week. My only criticism would be the ring light reflection on the screen makes it hard to read and follow along what's happening on the screen. Thanks for the useful tips !
Awesome tricks on the wavestate on your channel! Just ordered one which will be here in a couple of days. Your tutorials are really inspiring.. Subbed!
This is a lot to comprehend , are there any shorter tutorials that cover some of the very basic fundamentals ? The learning curve for mastering this synth could actually take some years for most of us but it would help by learning only a little at a time in smaller segments .
Yeah, this is a lot as an introduction to the wavestate! There's quite a few videos out there on the fundamentals, including from True Cuckoo and Loopop, as well as Korg. Those are good places to start (it's where I started). If you are interested in drum programming, I have a tutorial on that which moves quite slowly. Hope this helps!
Great stuff - thanks. Have you found a way to adjust the overall tempo of a drum loop when your using notation values rather than note durations(in seconds). I cant find a way to do that yet unless i sync the WS to external midi clock. I guess there must be a way to do it ?
very good stuff here. I definitely have a handle on some of the mod matrix and have created some basic beats w/64 steps, but havent yet ventured into the step sequence alterations youve shown how to do here. I think I know enough to give this a try now
haha, yeah! light-fail indeed. i'm still in the process of learning video production for youtube, and will be much more conscientious of the lighting next time. i hope you still found the video helpful.
Apologies! It is glare from a light. My other drum tutorial (which you can find in my playlist of Wavestate Tutorials) moves a bit slower, so it might be easier to follow along.

One of the coolest WS tutorials out there. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you for your time on these. Extremely helpful.
That was awesome. I could spend hours and hours and twisting knobs once the right info has been input. Thanks, very informative.
The same video without glare would be very coll for my level rookies! Very interresting video!
Thanks for taking me through the process. I don’t own a wavestate yet, but I can’t stop learning about it! Soon man.. soon!
soon!
Did you get it?
@@stupidzen7132 YES!!!!!
i think this just sold me the wavestate
It did and I can't be happier with it :)

This is excellent thank you! I really like the modulation of samples through the LFO. I'll probably use that.

Great tutorial.
Fantastic. Excellent variations
Thank you
Such a shame the glare prevents following your steps correctly.

Guessing this is now easier on the software companion.
This thing is so versatile . I'll might go for it instead of the miniloque xd
Very Thanks my friend. Regards fron Chile :)
Very nice info. Been wanting to buy a wavestate, but i was hoping it had some percussion features before i commited to owning one. Thanks

Imagine a workstation version of this beast????
Does the wavestate have A default that you can take everything back to original?
Yep, the Init Performance patch is at the top of the selection for performance patches
Those beats were very reminiscent of On-U-Sound.
What is idm can you explain thx.

Hello... How many simultaneously tracks in step seq ? We're in touch, thnks.

@@bluecliffsynthesis6685 Ty for replaying, I am struggle to find out how to set a patch sound or arpeggiator in a specific zone on the keyboard.
@@bluecliffsynthesis6685 O.K. I am going to have a look! Thanks !
