Wow, very nice. Words can't describe how this made me feel. Though I'll try. The words that come to mind are: a prayer sung instead of spoken. Very emotional, touching, and riveting.
+Terry Winters He's simply playing the music for himself, I think, and letting the audience come along for the ride as they wish. One has to in this day and age or they'll never feel fulfillment. There's a difference between being histrionic and being so entwined in something that you lose sense of yourself.
[Verse 1] Just before our love got lost you said "I am as constant as a northern star" And I said, "Constantly in the darkness Where's that at? If you want me I'll be in the bar" On the back of a cartoon coaster In the blue TV screen light I drew a map of Canada Oh, Canada With your face sketched on it twice [Chorus] Oh, you are in my blood like holy wine You taste so bitter and so sweet Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling And I would still be on my feet Oh, I would still be on my feet [Verse 2] Oh, I am a lonely painter I live in a box of paints I'm frightened by the devil And I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid I remember that time you told me, you said "Love is touching souls" Surely you touched mine 'Cause part of you pours out of me In these lines from time to time [Chorus] Oh, you are in my blood like holy wine You taste so bitter and so sweet Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling Still I'd be on my feet I would still be on my feet [Verse 3] I met a woman She had a mouth like yours She knew your life She knew your devils and your deeds And she said "Go to him, stay with him if you can But be prepared to bleed" [Chorus] Oh, but you are in my blood, you are my holy wine You're so bitter, bitter and so sweet Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling Still I'd be on my feet I would still be on my feet
If that's considered shouting, he can shout at me any time he wants. Whatever you call it, it's incredibly beautiful the amount of himself that he puts into it. People just don't have that kind of soul nowdays. What a shame...
If you google "youtube to mp3 converter" and use the first one you should be able to get it. Just copy and paste the url of this video and click download. once the download is done, when you open it it should automatically be put in your itunes (it will be at the very bottom of your library). At least that's how I've gotten all of Noah's songs that you can't buy. Hope this helps! :)
Not for me. The original, despite having an upbeat strum to it, seems so much more authentic in it's sadness than this melodramatic, unstructured whine. It's a subtle little heart-break drinking song, not an opera.
Great voice. Really. Great voice. But, in his pursuit of style and intonation, he totally lost the sense of any structure. Song became a jumble of mismatched sections, varying between screams, shouts, breathlessness, dying falls . . . . .bit of a mess. But in a decent voice
After listening to this version, every other version sounds like elevator music and awkwardly rhythmical and devoid of emotion when singing to something so emotional.
I think that kind of represents how the person feels with losing this person they are singing about. The mess of a love life they had made is translated into the song along with the significant pain and realization.
There is something in this song that makes me listen to it million times, again and again.
I've never met a more humble and talented person in my life. It's like he sees the music as he sings it...and he is very easy on the eyes!!!
You are, also...😍
And have great taste...💚
It is a privilege to see Noah perform live. He truly lives every song he sings.
You don't just listen to this like he doesn't just play this, it is a song to be felt.
You can hear the pain in his voice. Damn.
This honestly almost brought me to tears. He has so much talent.
Woah that actually touched me. Joni Mitchell is my favorite singer and this is my favorite song of hers. But this cover really got to me..
I always come back to Noah. To me he is unmatched. His music is so beautiful.
Wow, very nice. Words can't describe how this made me feel. Though I'll try. The words that come to mind are: a prayer sung instead of spoken. Very emotional, touching, and riveting.
Holy crap... This is actual God given talent...
or maby he have been just practicing alot since he was a kid. But yea, he's great!
romukauppias yup. The credit goes to Noah. There is no God, and Noah agrees. He is an Atheist.
I met him and I can honestly say he's one of the most generous, humble souls I have ever met. A gorgeous soul.
be still my heart! noah singing one of my favorite songs of all time.. dream come true
I sing this song loudly every morning on my commute.. Love Joni!!!!! BUT WOULD DRINK A CASE OF NOAH ANYTIME!
I know you would 😂 and I bet you aren't the only one that would
noah you inspire me to be better. thank you.
His voice makes me want to melt.
I never thought I would hear a cover of this that would be as impactful as the original....This is amazing.
James Blake?
I keep coming back to this song again and again
yeah.
we stan a constant queen
His version takes me back in time when I discovered this song. Thanks
It's like he sees the music as he sings it.
Still one of my favourite versions of "A Case of You". Noah just puts so much feeling into all his music that it's impossible not to love it.
My favorite song, by my favorite artist. I think my heart just exploded!
Damn....an amazing cover of my favorite song.

Blessed
Best cover..i tried finding someone who could compete with this cover but no one..certainly did Joni Mitchell justice.
That's easy look for Salvador Sobral singing this song and you'll listen the best cover ever made.
u sir, are a genius!
Damn, that was a great cover!
so lovely
Always felt the influence of the third verse on his song Black Dress. Cool to hear him singing it.
He shuts his audience out by keeping his eyes closed. Histrionic performance of a brilliant lyric.

Steveie Wonder must really shut his audience out.
Stunning
[Verse 1]
Just before our love got lost you said
"I am as constant as a northern star"
And I said, "Constantly in the darkness
Where's that at?
If you want me I'll be in the bar"
On the back of a cartoon coaster
In the blue TV screen light
I drew a map of Canada
Oh, Canada
With your face sketched on it twice
[Chorus]
Oh, you are in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet
Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling
And I would still be on my feet
Oh, I would still be on my feet
[Verse 2]
Oh, I am a lonely painter
I live in a box of paints
I'm frightened by the devil
And I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid
I remember that time you told me, you said
"Love is touching souls"
Surely you touched mine
'Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time
[Chorus]
Oh, you are in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet
Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling
Still I'd be on my feet
I would still be on my feet
[Verse 3]
I met a woman
She had a mouth like yours
She knew your life
She knew your devils and your deeds
And she said
"Go to him, stay with him if you can
But be prepared to bleed"
[Chorus]
Oh, but you are in my blood, you are my holy wine
You're so bitter, bitter and so sweet
Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling
Still I'd be on my feet
I would still be on my feet
Thank you.

Yes yes yes!

Great cover. Anyone who hasn't had the pleasure should check out the James Blake version also.
unreal

You're simply right. Over affected version. I wonder where to find music at all in it.
Wow you can feel that pain
For a second there I thought I had a dead pixel. I was so pissed. This guy is crazy talented.
haha, it was me with the dead pixel, sorry to give you a heart attack
wow.
Actually I like it more than the original one, you know - that shows how great can be one musician!
hallelujah.
He covers Joni. Heart be still.
Amen
Jose Feliciano... Great !
@john cow I agree
absolutely magnificent.
what kind of microphone do you use? the sound is so clean. beautiful.
Nice
I'm looking for a video of Noah singing with the Daniel and the Lion Lead Singer, on a stage, in an empty room. Anybody help me???
genuine
'I drew a map of Canada. Oooooh Canaadaa' -
Wow, this one rivals the original. So sincere.
He's good but let me give you some peace of an advice, look for Salvador Sobral singing this song and get blown away.
Leandro Pereira Thank you for that recommendation! 🙏🏽 Salvador Sobral’s cover is breathtaking. Delicate and so very special. ❤️
Is there anywhere that I can download this song for free?? If so please leave a link in a comment!:)
Perfect. Anybody know the chords?
they should cover some Hiatt

pianowhorethesecond Yep.
