- Dimebag Darrell. what a legend. One of the best ways to play his epic harmonic squeals and also honoring him by passing on his legacy to those that can metal. RIP.

Very good lesson, I'm pushing 50 and playing since I was 8 and Dimebags harmonics are some of the most challenging.
Plus it helps to have a full modeler like a Line 6 Pod 500 or similar.
But applause, great job.
I'm glad to help. I've been play since I was 13. Dimebag usually uses this technique over the common harmonic where you pluck the string.

For this I used the Boss Katana mk1 100 watt combo set on Brown ,with the built-in boost, Ibanez Ts9 Reissue, and the Pigtronix Gatekeeper Micro (noisegate).
I can’t get rid of the string making the diving noise. Idk how Dime was so quick with it

Been playing for 28yrs and Dimbag is the best and no one will ever replace him. I can play most of Dimbags riffs and solos. I have a Ibenaz with Dimbags and Vinnies signatures. They both argued on what symbol to put on it. Dimbag put a pot leaf in a bottle(you know what bottle it is if your a fan) and Vinnie put drumsticks and a cowboy hat on it. It's in a plexiglas case bolted to my wall to remind me to play asap. I guarentee there fingerprints are still on it since after Dime played it for 5mins and Vin took it from him lol i placed it in the case. Then when I got home it went safely in the air tight wall case. Dimbag said I wasnt a fan of Ibenaz but that's a mean guitar. I'll have to get one of those. He took a pic of the guitar and we shook hands. Dimbag said that's the only guitar with our bitching symbols. That was the best day of my life. Almost 7 months later Dimbag was shot. Saddest day ever. RIP Dimbag N Vinnie.

As a kid when I started playing my crappy squire strat alllllll I wanted was a guitar with a Floyd rose. I thought these whammy tricks where the best thing I had ever seen.
