  • Although Walter Ray Williams Jr has won the most PBA titles of all time, that doesn't mean he hasn't his fair share of bad moments on TV. Even if you're one of the best of all time, things still don't always go your way.
In this video I look at the top 5 worst moments of Walter Ray Williams Jr on TV.
Which player do you want to see a "Top 5 worst of" next?

Really liking the new series. The clips may be a touch too long in some areas, as I find myself skipping ahead every now and then; I could see that showing the same pattern in your YT analytics. Seeing the same clips multiple times might be the issue, not sure. I'm sure you'll have it refined as it is a new series on the channel. Keep up the good work!

1986 King Louie Open needs to be on this list. He left the 8-10 to lose to Mark Baker.

Yeah. It was a much worse shot in the 10th than the one against Allen. He would've had 4 titles that year if he didn't blow that game.

This should also count as one of Patrick Allen's worst moments, always felt his reaction was that of a huge jackass!

Well WRW Jr. has been on the losing end of three televised 300 games (Johnny Petraglia in 94, Steve Hoskins in 97 and Norm Duke in 03).

There were 2 shows in 1997 that could have made this list:
One of them he needed strike 9/ in the tenth to win a title against Parker and went strike bucket; the other he shot a 140 (possibly his lowest game of his nearly 200 tv appearances) including a super rare gutter despite not playing up the rail like many of his other appearances in that era).
Interestingly, 1997 also featured Walter Ray’s only 2 career losses on tv to Pete Weber (he went 10-2 against Pete on tv in his career). Despite all this, Walter Ray won player of the year in 1997 (the middle of his 3-Peat).

I had the honor of bowling with Norm Duke as my doubles partner and Walter Ray Williams as one of our opponents at Hollywood Bowl in Portland Oregon for one game. The amount of forward roll Norm got on his ball, was something I strived to duplicate in the following years. Walter Ray’s delivery was so contorted, I never found anything from watching him that I tried to copy. However Walter Ray had such an easy going and amiable personality on the lanes, he was a joy to bowl with.

Do a worst moments on Pete Weber. That would involve, IMO, every tv tournament he bowled in.
That guy is obnoxious. His fails would bring a smile. But there'll be more than 5, so make it 50 and you're in the ballpark.

Bowling was better in lower definition. Its a isolating sport with weird dudes who arent good socially or cool or hot and then have the camera right in their face on Saturday.

The Right Lane, I enjoyed the Video of Walter Ray Williams Jr's Worst Moments in the past televised finals on the Pba Tour. Also, The Moment that I remembered was the 8 10 Split on his 2nd Shot in the 10th Frame against Patrick Allen in the National Bowling Stadium Championship. Also, The Title Match between Walter Ray Williams Jr and Patrick Allen was very close. Also, Keep up the good work on both the Classics and the Moments from the Pba Tour.
