Jess, this dress is so beautiful! You did an amazing job! I tried to buy the pattern but I don’t see it on your website. Can you please look into it? ❤
I don't have this pattern for selling as I drafted it myself. But someone has commented that it's quite similar with Mcall pattern. So you can check it out there
OKAY, homegirl went from showing us how to measure our bodies ourselves to get the pattern, to just drafting on the fabric to this. I'm still on phase 1, ma'am 😅😅
She already has a tutorial on how to do the Clara dress patterns yourself though? So this IS diy. You just have to make the clara dress pattern from the different video and then pattern hack it just like she does in this video.
Thank you! I usually get my fabrics at the local market where I live. And I've been moving quite a lot. That's why I didn't put the link of where I got my fabric as they don't sell online
The lining fabric is the same for the sleeve and the back bodice part. For the front bodice, the lining is the first front bodice pattern. And for the skirt part, the lining is the half circle one.
Hello Jess,!!! a question.???? Did you remove the last video,? I tried to find it because I was about to make one and I wasn't lucky to find it. Blessings
I want to get into sewing projects like this, but fabric I look for is so expensive. Does anyone have tips on how to find affordable, cute fabric? Or finding alternatives that are cheaper (like bedsheets or curtains - and what material I should look for)?
You can try to go with bed sheet. Some of them are very pretty and the prices are a bit cheaper. Luckily I can get good fabrics with cheap prices here.
She is not giving away the pattern for free. I think she is using it with some variation. So why can this be a problem? I have seen many other videos where people are using this pattern with alterations. So where is the problem? I didn't understand??
Thanks for letting me know! I saw this dress on Pinterest when finding my inspiration. This style of dress was made to sell from a lot brands. So I think this design is not belonged to any individual person or company. Besides that I was just trying to make this dress myself and sharing it to everyone. I don’t sell this pattern or use McCalls pattern to re-sell. So I think it’s not a copyright here. But if anyone like this dress and want to get the pattern, they now know where to find the similar one😊
@@tinimaus1986 Unless Jess starts selling photocopies of the Mccalls patttern, she'll be fine. McCall's doesn't have a monopoly on 40s tea dresses with button front closures. Its a super common style and there are tons of companies that sell similar patterns. Off the top of my head, Vikisews элизабет, Style Arc Belle, and Daria Patternmaking Million Buttons Dress are all pretty much the same as the M7974. If you expand to patterns with different closures you can also find similar patterns sold by Sew Over It, Grasser, Marsha Style, as well as countless vintage patterns. M7974 is just the most popular version.
thank you very much from Ukraine! You helped me a lot! I wish you good luck in everything! You are a wonderful girl!
Thank you for loving it! I hope you're doing well there too.

such a gorgeous dress
just had a question, how can I add finishing on the sleeve hole without using lining?
You can use the bias to finish it
Beautiful dress ❤
There is a free pattern of this dress ? 👗
Estou amando suas aulas, embora não compreendo o seu idioma. Mas fico bem atenta ao vídeo
If only you could give us a DIY pattern for this kinda dress.
She's already giving a lotttt
This dress is almost identical to McCall's Pattern M7974 (view A), if you're still interested in this kind of dress

Absolutely beautiful Jess!! I love it 😁. Where did you say your tutorial is on the pattern for your cottagecore dress? Thanks so much!
I did a hack with the bodice pattern from my Clara dress pattern. You can check out that pattern on my website
I love the fabric, could you give more detail on what kind of fabric it is, or where you got it from? Thanks!

Hi Jess,
Pls could you explain how you cut the lining fabric? I don't quite understand it from the picture. Thank you🙂

hello i was wondering where you purchased that beautiful fabric?
I got it at the local market in my city like most of my other fabrics.
This is awesome, I love the fabric, what is boil fabric? Is there another term for it?
Thanks a lot!
😍😍😍
Hello Jess, where did you buy your sewing machine?
I bought my sewing machine as the second hand one at the shop in my city here.
Muy bonito vestido. ¿Sería posible que nos enseñaras a confeccionar el corte camisero y otro tipo rombo? Muchas gracias y saludos.
