You are the only one who help us make the pattern..others sell it and we really thank you for that.
Thank you too!
Truth. I love 💕💕💕 her so much
Exactly!❤❤
As a beginner mostly I face difficulties in pattern making. And in that case you are a perfect tutor for me. I find your videos quite helpful. Thank you for inspiring and helping us. Love from India.❤
Thank you so much!
Me too.
You are a queen for showing us how to make a pattern! I've made two of your projects now, they were my 2nd and 3rd ever homemade clothes and they fit like a glove! Also I felt confident enough to adjust the top so that the front pannels cross over instead of ruffling it. I love how the whole dress turned out and I can't wait to see what you are going to help us sew next!
I finished the dress yesterday and I am so happy with it. Is so flowy and flattering. I edited the design a little bit by putting the ties in the back 4 cm deeper and making the
v neck a little less deep. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I found it really simple to make the pattern and follow your instructions.
hi, is complicated to sew v neck less deeper? or just usual?
@@eelf4415 It is actually not that hard. Instead of drawing a straight line for the neckline, you measure how deep you want v-neck to be. Then you just draw the line as shown, but leave a couple of centimetres, that is just a straight line down. When you sew it, it will overlap at this point, I sew it in place with a couple small hand-stitches. In the back, I just put the zipper in a little bit higher.
Katya, when you sew in the strap/ties do you cut an opening for it? Because in the tutorial we sew it “closed” then add the ties. So I’m assuming you use a seam cutter? Or how did you do it?
So, originally I used a seam ripper to add a small opening and add in the ties. But I later noticed, that the ties were to hight for my liking and also not strong enough, so I ripped them out and resewed them in a little bit lower, this time I just put them on the inside of the bodice and didn't rip open the seam between the two bodice parts.
I love your videos and all the explanations of how to make the different pattern pieces! Thank you so much for doing these. One thing which would make the videos even better (and therefore easier to follow) is using material where you can see whether it's the right / wrong side, OR, just a mention of whether it's the right sides together / wrong sides together etc. That extra information would be invaluable!!
Idk how I got lucky enough to have the exact same measurements as you but it makes following your tutorials way easier. I feel like I have no excuse not to sew now, so THANK YOU JESS! You are amazing!
Glad I could help!
Oh my goodness amazing, clear, and concise tutorial. I adore your work! Thank you so much I really want to try this one out.
Thank you too!
Every week she comes out with a new gorgeous dress and every week I sit through the whole video saying‘I’ve gotta go make this NOW’
Thank you! Did you make anything so far?
I havent touched my sewing machine in months, so many videos to catch up with 😭

I just finished this dress. It looks so amazing!! Thank you Jess for your videos!!! You make me sew the seemingly impossible
So happy that you made it! And it's my pleasure to share with everyone
should i leave 1 cm for seem allowance when i cut on the fabric ?
I'm Brazilian and I could understand all the details! you explain perfectly!!!!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you Jess, I am soo glad I found your videos. I made this dress it looks really beautiful. It took me long to make it as I have not sewn in a long time. Thank you for starting the video with taking measurements and making a pattern and your simple technique like the hair pin. I love your work
Thank you for loving them!
This is such a beautiful dress ! It's exactly the style I've been searching for which I'm wanting to make one of for myself. I never knew how to measure, exactly, to obtain the "proper" measurements for a custom - made dress. Thank You So Much for sharing this video with us and letting us know the techniques you use. I do appreciate it all. 😻
Thank you for loving it too!
Adorable, keep sewing
Waiting to see the winter collection
I hope I'll try them soon. As we're always hot here. So I don't have much chance to make winter clothes
I spent my entire day watching your videos and i’m super excited to make some beautiful dresses. Thanks for your content ❤
If it wasnt for this tutorials I would never be able to make a pattern by myself, its amazing how you just make it look so easy
Thank you for showing us how to make the patterns and making the tutorials as easy as possible to understand ❤
Thank you for loving it too!
Woow! I have never sewed anything but I want to so bad. I'm going to learn how to do it. Whenever I know the basics I want to sew a dress and your tutorial is the best by far! It's so clear and structured. Pls keep doing what you're doing! Thank you!! 💕
Thank you so much!
Thankyou for showing us measurements according to our individual bodies. Last time I followed one of your old DIY summer dress tutorial & since you did'nt show how you got the measurements the dress I made was too big & too long for me. But eventually I made some adjustments so it turned out good. Thankyou for your videos they are so good ❤️ & especially now that you show measurements I am sure when I make another dress it will fit perfectly in the first try 🙏
I hope your next DIYs will fit you better. Sometimes, we need to adjust or fix the measurements a bit. So it's pretty normal :)
You are a fabulous teacher! I appreciate your easy-to-follow tutorials! Thank you Jess! 😄❤
Thank you so much!
Hi Jess, I just completed my version of this dress. I had to add more fabric to the top to compensate for my bust size, but otherwise it came together perfectly.

Hi Jess!!! I LOVE THIS DRESS and I TOTALLY want to make it! I'm going to change the sleeves(slightly), and have it do delicate button and loop closures, in the front. My plan is to finish the dress, and then type due it by hand, and I was curious if you'd be interested in seeing a picture or two, once I *FINALLY* complete it?
Yes, I would love to see it

Hi Jess this dress is adorable! You always know how choose such cute fabrics! Do you have any online fabric shops you recommend? I"m constantly looking for new places to try out.
Yes! No idea where to find fabric I love
@@jaleesastengel1747 have you tried Mood fabric? They have lots of nice fabric!
I usually get my fabric at the local market in my city here or at my fav shops here too. Sadly most of them don't sell online or oversea.
@@JessDangDIY May I know what type of fabric do you use for the dress?
Yes thank you for the tutorials. Excellent direction and instruction in how to draw the pattern ,construct & sew the dress.😊

Thank you for loving it too!
I´m a new beginner Jess! Looking forward to sew this one. Looks very pretty! I´m afraid it will take long time for mer to finish, hehe! Anyway, what is the boil fabric you`re using here? Can you specify which fabric should I look for? Thank you so much
boil fabric is the nature fabric and it's quite thin, a bit see through. It usually has emboried too
Thank you so much i loved the video and my dress turned out really pretty i made the length shorter by about half the length but its so cute!!!!
So happy you tried it out

This looks amazing!!!
HI Jess :) in love with all your videos, your explanations are very clear ! But could you specify "wrong/good sides facing" ? I feel like sometimes it would help me a lot you saying it than looking at what you do and trying to figure it out 😅 Thank youuu ❤️
Thank you for your suggestion! I'll try to fix it
What a lovely dress, I will try this, hopefully.
You can do it!
I watch 2 of your videos and I am already a new subscriber and I can't wait to watch more .
Thank you so much for making a lot a very well explained video specially the pattern. You are a gem in RUclips
Thanks for subbing!
Hi Jess! Love this tutorial and all the other ones. You explain the process so well! Could you please make a halter top video? I'd love to watch your tutorial on that.
Thank you! I have one tutorial for halter top already with 2 designs. You can check it out on my channel
wow that was so cute!! thank you for the visuals of what you were measuring, i found that very helpful! i think i will try to make this dress!!
Hi Jess, I love your videos, I have a question about attaching the ties in this tutorial. At 6:52 are you seam ripping slightly to place the tie within the seam you've already sewn? Or does it go under that second piece of fabric? the only thing is that would be sewing onto the right side so i don't know if that's right/ If anyone else knows the answer to this I'd really appreciate it! thanks :)
ahh im stuck on the same problem.. did you figure it out?
@@marineleborgne7505 Hi! Yeah I just seam ripped a little hole and I think that's definitely right, my dress turned out well at least!
I just love how creative u are omg please dont stop making tut and tu for what you do !
Thanks a lot!

Really pretty dress. Love the waistband and the fabric.
Thank you so much!
First of all, thanks for such a clear tutorial. Secondly is it boil fabric or voile fabric?
Hello !
Thank you for this tutorial!
What fabric can I use to make this dress ? Do you have advices for me ? ☺️
I think soft and floaty fabric is the best for this dress
@@JessDangDIY Thank you ! :)

It's my pleasure

Thank you!
😍😍😍😍 now im always watching your videos. and im starting a vlog 😍watching from philipines😍💖
Thank you so much!
I can listen to her all day lolll
Thank you so much!
This is a beautiful dress, thank u for the tutorial ❤️ Can you tell what is the best fabric density?
I made this dress following the tutorial and it is almost perfect ! I removed the very bottom part because i didn't have enough fabric and it is still great. But i have a little problem with the back of the top ; when she gathers the top part to make room for the breast, she also does it in the back, so if you have a medium or big breast it will be great on the front but too loose on the back (there is a gap between my back and the fabric). I will try to make adjustments but if you make it, consider adjusting the top back piece before cutting / sewing ! I hope it is clear, as english is not my first langage. Anyway, thank you for the tutorial ✋
Great to hear you made it. But I don't think I did the back is the same as the front. I just gathered the front to have room for the breast. The back is flat
Owh really love this dress..thank you jess 👍
You're so welcome
Beautiful dress !!!
Thank you!
