This is so beautiful Corrine, I love it! You're right, it does take hours to adding stitching and trims and stuff to the point where the squares all meld together, but I really enjoyed doing it, just got into the zone in front of the telly for a few evenings. I wasn't the least bit uniform, just took the thread for a walk and kept going, changed from one stitch to another part way along a line if I felt like it, did great big over stitches here and there with big fat threads, buttons and beads, all sorts - real embroiderers would have kittens looking at the back of my work, or even the front if you look too closely, but the overall look is so pretty. Mine ended up around A3 size I reckon, I'll be showing it in a vid later today hopefully. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful take on the scrappy string squares, it's been a joy to watch your process :)
Ah thanks for watching my videos.. I love what I do.. just turn on the camera craft for an hour each day! Just love it! Love what you do too! Enjoy your day! Corrine
I am totally seeing raw edge flowers or chenille flowers on that stray invisible stitched panel. So many thoughts! I love pastels/ shabby chic style! Your panel turned out lovely!
That is just stunning. ❤❤ Absolutely love the beads!! They really top it off. Yes when do you finish....when your head says so?? Haha. 😂😂😂 Yep I get where you’re coming from.
I always needle through a knitted lightweight iron on stabilizer. You hardly notice the difference but it does stabilize enough to support thicker threads, beading and ribbons. Did you ever get Jennifer Clouston’s Foolproof Crazy Quilting book? Lots of ideas for stitches. Love your soft colors, right up my alley!
Even prettier than I imagined, Corinne! Nearly panicked when you said you couldn't find Reginald; what a relief that he turned up. Love your whole concept for this bag!
I wondered how you'd get on with that steam a seam. I've used the same one as you with appliques and machine stitched and even though from memory it says won't gum your needle it did. I had globs of glue on my needle and my machine wasn't happy so I was thinking when I saw you use it that hand stitching could be hard work. It is looking gorgeous though, love the shabby chic
Love your pastel colours, it’s just beautiful. It seems that you’re having trouble pulling the needle thru cos of the felt at the back. I’m going to try this but I’ll attach the felt when the stitching is done
I use toilet paper cardboard to wind my yarn. Cut a slit at 1 end, slide the beginning inside the tube and slide it in the slit, wind the other side around the tube. Tuck the end in the slit, it will keep the yarn from unraveling. Cheap
Reminder-it’s the Fly stitch. Feather and Fly are alike except Feather Vs go side to side down path and Fly Vs are along same line. Easy to mix up the names on these two for me.
Still liking this panel. I must put some together. I too like to use a light stabiliser when I can, it does give it a bit of body something to hang on to. thank you for this series.🧵🪡
I was browsing thru and ran across this post 😊 I’m rather embarrassed but what is the purpose of these pages? They are pretty but what purpose do they serve
Lol don’t be embarrassed.. I will create another 3 all different and attach them to a fabric storage bag .. based on the Japanese rice bag.. I have made two so far here is the link to the playlist!
Love slow stitching, this is beautiful!!!

Hi corrine your patch work is just beautiful

That is just stunning. ❤❤
Absolutely love the beads!! They really top it off.

Yes really happy with it!

Oh yes I have it.. brought it back in Jan. just love it! I’m booked in for a class with her later in the year!

Lol! That nasty little needle always seems to turn up! lol
Такая работа войдет в историю. Будет в музее. Просто космос. Молодец.г. Владимир.
Hello Corrine, Maybe a finer needle with a bigger eye for the thicker threads.
It would be heaps better.. it was a scrap used with free motion stitch.. oh well .. it a scrap used a good thing!
So pretty 😊
Thank you! 😊

Oh no it’s stabilise fabric.. it’s a heavy weight designed for sewing machine stitching.. it was scrap I used up! It still works and it now used!
I use toilet paper cardboard to wind my yarn. Cut a slit at 1 end, slide the beginning inside the tube and slide it in the slit, wind the other side around the tube. Tuck the end in the slit, it will keep the yarn from unraveling. Cheap
Not a bad idea
@@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine I use the all the times. No more lose ends or tangles 😊
Reminder-it’s the Fly stitch. Feather and Fly are alike except Feather Vs go side to side down path and Fly Vs are along same line. Easy to mix up the names on these two for me.
I will never remember! Lol
Use heat n bond. It’s much easier to get your needle through. I cannot pull a needle through steam a seam.
I must try it! I have heard that too!
Still liking this panel. I must put some together. I too like to use a light stabiliser when I can, it does give it a bit of body something to hang on to. thank you for this series.🧵🪡
Yeah is a stiff one.. designed for free motion stitching.. it’s a least is a scrap now used!
