  • Hello welcome back everybody! In this video I share the advice I would give my 30 year old self now that Im 40. As a millennial I feel like we are just different from the rest. Since Im an older millennial I would like to give big sister advice. I have been so many things, I have been married, I have been divorced, I have been a single mom, I have been in love, I have been broken hearted, I have been poor, I have been PAID. This advice will help you with at any stage of life. My name is Joy I have been a NICU nurse for 6 years before becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner 💕. If you are not the eldest daughter and don't suffer from eldest daughter syndrome you can go to the advice chapter. There is also a chapter on imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is not real! Please comment your age below, and add any advice that I left out!

You don’t know how much I needed this video. Recently moved back to Houston myself after realizing I should’ve never moved in the first place. In the “hell stage” currently and told myself, it’s only temporary. Thanks for this video and your encouragement. 💚

I feel like I’m not successful in my 30s I was never able to find a job in social work and settled for teaching and I hate it. Doing the best I can to get into nursing school has been stressful especially when you are working a low income job and barely making it. I am in school to be a medical assistant and after that nursing school. Along the way I have had to tackle obstacles losing my grandma in sept 2022. It has been a struggle to find a job that is going to pay me above 1,000 dollars. But I’m taking it one day at a time. I have really been struggling with depression. Because I’m like I’m never going to get a high paying job at all. I took care of my grandma for 5 years before she passed away. Being a caregiver is something I am good at naturally. Love the video. Thank you so much. I don’t have any kids at all. The money I am making it’s putting me in a poverty situation. Because my pay is stagnant.

I completely understand how you feel. Before nursing, I felt the same way about making money and being able to work myself out of poverty. Nursing was definitely my ticket out of poverty. Please continue to work hard and don’t give up no matter how bad it feels. I know you can do it because I did it. Sending you love.❤
