#54 Building the HOG PEN

- Chuck and Gabe get to work starting an enclosure for the first official farm animals on the ranch. The hog shelter is constructed just in time for us to get our first group of 12 piglets, which Gabe will be in charge of raising. We are thrilled to finally have some animals on the homestead!
I really enjoyed watching you all building the hog pen. It was fun and educational. The pigs were so cute

Thats quite a few pigs. More than most homesteaders. Looking forward to seeing how this all works out. Your son is quite the brave young man to take on this responsibility. He has shown himself to be hardworking, intelligent,capable and many more positive things.
He is an amazing young man and we are excited to see how his first business venture turns out!

Hi from Melville Saskatchewan have a blessed day was a hog man for a few years and I figured something out pigs are not stupid animals if they have done something once they retain that and will do it over and over but if you asked them to do something they haven’t done well then you get the term pig headed and they are the cleanest animal on farm they deaficate in one place sleep in another and eat in another place the reason they wallow is because they don’t have sweat glans they are a member of the elephant rino family make sure you have a. place for that even if you have to make a shallow pond that’s important because that’s the way they keep cool more the a shelter sorry I got long winded
