- Come enjoy this video of us building a pig pen out of some cattle panels that we had at the homestead. Hog panels work great but they are more expensive and we had the cattle panels on hand already. Please check out the video below to watch the video of clearing the land for the animals.

yall are awesome. Thanks for video. I am starting a pig pen this weekend.
Keep up the good work. Not many people have what it takes anymore, to live our simple but perfect country life.
Thank you! I like that showed everything, not just a summary of what you did. I learn so much more when folks actually show what they did. Great job!
I agree. That is what I told my wife.
New subscriber here. It doesn’t have to be pretty it needs to be functional, which it is !!!! Well done nice job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Mantab kerja sama yang bagus 👍👍👍👍
I have never seen those type of hinge pins for gates before. Well done!!!
Me either. They worked great.
Beautiful shade love the trees. Beautiful country
We live in a wonderful area as far as the mountains go
I love the post driver.
Yeah buddy, couldn't make it without it
I'm loving it - you teaching this city boi something!
hahaha We are just learning ourselves but thank you for the compliments!
I wish I had thought to use my FEL for the 30 or so t-posts we just installed 😅
I think Courtney is awesome and a good sport.
Great job guys!!
Thank you
Just found your channel. This is exactly what we want to do when we get our pigs. Unfortunately we don’t have a lot of shade available so we’ll have to build something for shade as well. Now to check out your other videos. New subscriber in me.
Awesome. Thank you! We will be back making more videos soon!
Thanks for your time
Thanks for video
You're welcome
New subscriber to your channel. First video, watched. Looking forward to learning more about pigs as we will be getting some next spring/summer
Thank you. We will be back to making videos soon!
nice little post driver for sure....
for sure!!!
So beautiful cage sir godbless for your farming sir
Thank you! They are doing great! Thanks for watching!
Nice post driver
Nice pen. Not I would definitely run another chain on the bottom of that gate! Love the idea of the upside down bedliner. Where do u get that gate at?
Why two posts at the corners?
Never seen the bucket method for putting in t post. I will say it’s better to put them in as far as you can because the pig will pull them up if they can get to the panels.
Just found this and it's extremely helpful. On the corners, you just use one post? And put the clips in different positions? I have to extend my son's practice corral for his show pig and I'm watching how you've done yours
Just make sure it is all braced very well but in our experience, as long as there was food and water, we had no issues. They do root a bit but that is natural.
This works for me. You and Courtney did a fine job. I need to do the exact same thing. Hope it works well for Callie's pig. Is there only going to be 1 pig in there? I need a pen for 3 small kune kune pigs. Thanks for sharing. New Subscriber!! 👍🏽🙂
Hey, welcome! So far this is working great! We have 7 pigs total in there and they are super happy. I will be doing a followup video soon. Go check out the "we got pigs" video and you will see our additions. Thanks for watching, we are glad to have you!
I'm building one quite similar right now. I opted for a simpler tube gate because I'm suspicious of the pigs breaking the welds on the welded wire gates (which I've heard goats will do quite often). I'm thinking of cutting a piece of hog panel to place on the inside of the tube gate so they can't slip through. And, I personally opted for hog panels (36" tall) vs the handy/cattle panels (48" tall) because I'm thinking I can fall over and out of the shorter panels in case I need to get out of the pig pen in a hurry. Maybe I'm paranoid, but that's my thinking. Good job though! I'm also curious if 8 foot spacing on the Tposts is good, or if you think going shorter is advised.
are those zip ties for holding wire to post?
Guessing you don't like your wife, or y'all haven't ever seen a hydraulic line blow before lol
have you had any trouble with them rooting their way out?
How much spacing in between each post?
You need more than one as they get lonely.
What is the length of the metal post
Where did you all get that gate bracket to hand your gate?
Tractor supply has them or Amazon. Try searching for something like a t post gate bracket
Hey man awesome vidoe, I have some ideas on my vidoe that mite help you
Awesome. Sounds good. I will check it out! Thanks for watching!
I really want you to have a video about pregnant pigs having babies
Yeah we may do that in the future. We are definitely learning so we aren't that brave yet haha
Did u bought your tractor online
No we bought off a lot in SC
Complete and utter jealousy on not having to pound those posts into the ground by hand.
you watch me work and don't offer to help your getting a rock wiped at your head
No homestead under the 1862 Homestead Act set fence post with a front end loader like me they set them by hand the name of your channel is nothing but click bait, why not call it what it is " Rocky Hollow RUclips Funded Hobby Farm". Bet you have not even read the Homesteading Act of 1862. that is what defines homesteading.
1. Work land
2. Improvements land
3. Build home
4. Live there for 5 years
That's not really that intensive and most people found loop holes all over the place. I don't think the government can really tell us what homesteading is.
New subscriber here, great video, thank you! This is just the kind of instruction I’m looking for. Question: if I was going to start with three pigs and panels are 16 feet long, would a 12 panel square be big enough?
